Sprake Cinema

Description

Run down even before the outbreak, Sprake Cinema was always known as the local $1 show. The seats have always had mystery stains and the floor is extremely sticky even after a good cleaning. The screen is one of the smallest in Malton and the sound system is similar to the quality of a cheap drive-in. Sprake Cinema had never shown a first run movie and rarely stayed open past 9.

History

Plagued with gang problems, Sprake enforced a dress code asking that patrons refrain from wearing gang colors, team shirts, and excessive bling. Even with these measures in place, the owners still had to resort to hiring private security.

After four patrons were stabbed during a showing of Do The Right Thing the theater installed metal detectors in an attempt to quell the violence. This act caused long lines and delayed start times as movie goers were cleared through security. This eventually lead to just shutting down all together.

Barricade Policy

Keep at VSB in accordance with the West Grayside Barricade Plan.

Current Status

The Clubbed to Death Docudrama Appreciation Season is currently underway at the Sprake, where undead patrons can enjoy the silent film noir in the darkness without too much breathing (heavy or otherwise) and gunplay spoiling the showings. To encourage attendance, all barricades have been removed and entrance is free.
