I added this because as a new player, it was hard to figure out the answers to a couple simple questions (why are some buildings yellow, what does the (NT) label mean).

Good stuff. Hope you don't mind my edit- the bit about only survivors seeing the NT label was off a bit, as the image I added shows. . . . swiers BigEYEwitnessLOGO.png 19:44, 9 July 2007 (BST) (PS- its a good idea to use your signature on any talk page or any time what you edit isn't an actual article.)

Ruined Buildings

Can we add a section on ruined buildings? I'd actually been playing this game for quite a while before I figured out that they appear a darker grey on the map. With the recent modification that adds the probability of injury when you freerun into a ruined building, it may be helpful to add it... --Saralan Talk 404 ZHU 14:13, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Sure. I think the page (and image) were made before the ruined building update. Feel free to modify it however you think would help. I may catch a new ruined building image and write some stuff up myself. SIM Core Map.png Swiers 17:35, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

other colors?

What are the meanings of the other colors on buildings? I'm guessing the pink/green/blue align with classes... Paralever 05:48, 7 October 2010 (BST)

If you're talking about the character names that show up on the mini map, yes. Those colors align with the classes (pink for Civilian, green for Military, and blue for Science). For your other colors, such as the grey/yellow for the building name refers to if the building is powered or not, with a darker tone of grey/yellow referring to a ruined building that is powered or not. As for the background colors that you see for each building, that's to tell what type of building it is (unless it's grey, then that means you're inside that building). And coincidentally, if you have read the article at hand, you would know all this before asking about the colors. ;) --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 06:02, 7 October 2010 (BST)
I'm talking about the background of the block, and the border of the block. For example in Image:Minimap1.png, the brown around the Colsworthy Arms and the green border of the Scarlett Library. It's not described on Minimap. Or I'm blind. Paralever 05:13, 8 October 2010 (BST)
Those are the colour-coded squares for the building types themselves. For hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee 05:17, 8 October 2010 (BST)
I've already answered that for you. And Mis just repeated it. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 05:18, 8 October 2010 (BST)
Thanks for answering. Shall we add that to the page? Is there a key somewhere showing all of the types? Paralever 05:30, 8 October 2010 (BST)
You could pretty much figure out the colors for each building using the numerous suburb maps provided on each suburb, or try it yourself using the {{Locationblock}} template. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 05:36, 8 October 2010 (BST)
I was wondering, coming back to this after a long time, whether the borders meant anything about barricades. But they apparently don't. Paralever 07:23, 8 October 2010 (BST)
