Some are NecroTech Buildings and can be identified by the "[NT]" appended to their name if you have the NecroTech Employment skill. Office buildings are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used. Office buildings can be barricaded normally.

The Lumber Building

Description

You are standing outside the Lumber Building, a small concrete building with crosses of tape over its windows.

History

Considered "small" when compared to modern skyscrapers, the once impressive original ten story brick and concrete edifice of the Lumber Exchange Building was built in the late 1800's. A later addition of two additional stories occurred in the 1920's, raising the structure to its current height of twelve stories. Originally constructed to function as a center for the lumber and building material trade, it housed the operations of local trading distributors. In the mid-1970's, in the onset of a general decline in local industry, the Lumber Exchange Building continued to function as a trade center for wholesale garment distributors up until the outbreak and quarantine.

Barricade Policy

In accordance with the Richmond Hills Barricade Plan, the Lumber Building is designated as an entry point and should be maintained at Very Strongly Barricaded + 2 (VSB+2).
