The Paffard Building

Description

The Paffard Building is a formed concrete building offering undersized windows and a dull grey coloring. What little shrubbery once decorated the outside is now gone and occasional patches of dirt or mud are all that remain to break the monotony.

History

The Paffard Building was constructed in 1963 by Jaymes Paffard. Originally billed as the office of tomorrow, dozens of local businesses went bankrupt when it was discovered that Jaymes Paffard had redistributed funds from investors and the businesses into an Haitian Account on careful advisement of his Vodou Doctor.

Shortly thereafter, the doctor was never seen again and Jaymes Paffard became the first but not last to jump to his death from the top floor of the Paffard Building. His example began a trend that claimed four more owners before 1980. The building was remodeled and purchased by a local descendant of Jaymes Paffard in 1981 following a city auction for late taxes. Henry Paffard successfully ran the building until the early outbreak, when it was completely abandoned.

Barricade Policy

Extremely Heavily Barricaded (as per Old Arkham Barricade Plan)
