Good Evening

I do believe that you and your friends would be interested in this policy. I believe it will adequately meet your needs and give you the justice you seek. --Akule School's in session. 22:46, 12 September 2007 (BST)

You're a bitch, I just hoped you realized that. Just an FYI. Nalikill 23:04, 12 September 2007 (BST)
Currently Sysops don't even hold each other accountable, and brag on their unaccountability. The situation has been out of hand for quite awhile. Kevan shows his contempt for his customers every day these trolls operate as sanction sysops, as his representatives to his customers. Their stalking and hostility are Kevan's face to the wiki. The policy may have some corrective influence, but the users I've communicated with don't think the wiki is worth using or defending, or that the policy will make a lick of difference. --Dylan Mak Tyme 16:12, 15 September 2007 (BST)

LEAVE BOXY ALONE

Sumanabitch, why the hell are you so vindictive about something that's not even really a big damn deal? Let alone the fact that this is just a fucking encyclopedia about a fucking game!

Wiki vandalism being endorsed by wiki administrators is a big deal. Suppression of dissent on that decision by wiki administrators is a huge deal. Your foul language and puny brain are somewhat less of a deal, especially when kept down wind. --Dylan Mak Tyme 16:56, 9 September 2007 (BST)
It's just dumbasses like you who have sticks up your asses about nothing that cause my cussing, and this drama, and I'm sick of it. You need to learn some self restraint- bringing a 'symbolic case' against one of the most respected members of the community, because all boxy did was move the discussion off the main page, so it didn't break the fucking page, which is huge already and heavily trafficked! Only someone like you and the 'crabapple' moron could cause this much drama. Sysops making decisions on vandal banning cases is routine. Move the fuck on. If you want to change it, make it a communal vote, then make a policy about it and put it under voting. Otherwise, shut up. Nalikill 16:59, 9 September 2007 (BST)
Just ignore the drama Nalikill, I'm not at all worried about this The preceding signed comment was added by boxy (talkcontribs) at 17:04 9 September 2007 (BST)

Hi from zeug

Great journal and interesting to hear from the survivor side. I got Combat Revived at Challes and enjoy playing dual nature so thanked my revivers and moved 1 click south into Seraphim's for some FAK's and healing. A nice lady by the name of Lois sometihng tended me before a military type called RebelReefer summarily executed me for having been a zombie ... happens a lot and the Resens hearing is pending.

As for zeds eating zeds, well it happens but mostly it's former survivors acting out repressed memories of having been alive before they shamble quietly off to wait in a revive queue ... never quite understood that one.

And yes, the current crop of Extinction zombies are very coordinated in the military sense, survivors need to do likewise or you'll all be joining our ranks sooner or later.--Zeug 16:55, 29 August 2007 (BST)

Wow, a classic phony psychological diagnosis to smooth over the torment and frustration of survivors who have seen their families, friends, and comrades in arms dragged from their beds, painfully devoured, and infected. Now unable to find operating revive points. The largest hordes I've seen lately are at RPs begging for revival, but getting chewed by Extinction's drooling ghouls. You were clearly born to shamble. And yes, the application of elementary military principles and tactics on the zed side has shown up the weaknesses in survivor leadership, a leadership that under the most horrific conditions has failed to inspire even 10% of survivors into the chain of command. But we probably both know the reason for that. Dylan Mak Tyme 17:41, 29 August 2007 (BST)
Also, combat revivals have always struck me as a poor strategy. It is easier to recognize the dead as dead. If they are too dulled, or enamored, of their state to shamble to one of the many available revive points, then they are a public health hazard. PKers and GKers, by their actions, have requested conversion and the living should generously provide the same. I noticed that the signage in the area was changed to designate the insides of heavily barricaded Challes and the neighboring police station as revive points. Although I did participate in the final defense of Challes, I am not a part of or in direct contact with Grigg Heights leadership and would have counseled otherwise if asked. I know Lois, gracious to a fault. RebelReefer is not known to me, but my speculation is that you are on many of the sorts of KOS lists that circulate. A lot of those hordes at the RP sites likely have your name on their minds as well. (Is it really a red zone if those 50+ hordes are swaying in the breeze waiting for syringes?) --Dylan Mak Tyme 20:47, 30 August 2007 (BST)
Hi Dylan, regarding "classic phony psychological diagnoses" - have a read of the Dual Nature Policy gameplay guide. As far as the zombie genre goes it's not remarkable if your closest friend and fellow soldier falls at your side after being bitten only to immediately stand back up again as a zombie trying to eat your brains! In fact that's the basis of the horror of zombiedom ... mindlessly moving with the ravenous horde as one. In many of the best movies of the genre (eg., Romero) it's a metaphor for our own mindless everyday worker/consumer existence. I wouldn't hold it against your fellow survivors if they try to bite you, in fact you should perhaps be more understanding of the trauma that brain death brings to once vibrant living beings. That's the main reason I find Mrh? cows so funny in UD. --Zeug 19:06, 30 August 2007 (BST)
Thank you for drawing my attention to the Dual Nature "Policy", publicly endorsed by 28 of the 16,000+ active UD players. Setting aside the psychological theory presented, for a moment, the role play philosophy to be applied is a matter for individual player interpretation and creativity. The reasons why so few support the concept are obvious from even a cursory reading of the concept's components, supporting random revives and violent harassment of revival stations and activities. This is invariably a violent and anti-social response to other players game choices, and those players are likely to respond in the same spirit.
As for the worker/consumer existence as a metaphorical underpinning, it must be remembered that producers and directors generate these theories like rabbits mating, usually over drinks while working on their excuses to explain to their fifth or sixth wives why they were chatting with the Miss September who will be visiting the casting couch shortly and, if exceptionally cooperative, shrieking soon in a theater near you. Such theories can be used to justify even the most bone-headed theories, command-driven economies being the first to come to mind. Inevitably, the same rationales are rehashed with little improvement when the feeeeelm media and the feeeeelm students ask. The infection theme in UD, for example, can be traced back to the clap that was shared with half the crew when one sweet, tender starlet was overly generous on the set of Nosferatu. In the final analysis, even respecting player choices, Dr. Jekyll is, in fact, in every way responsible for Mr. Hyde and society deals with him accordingly. --Dylan Mak Tyme 22:07, 30 August 2007 (BST)

That ol' zombie wit

Yeh Saromu is Sonny Corleone zed leader of the Caiger Resistance Front which is an alt group of RRF, I noticed he went through a heap of burbs delisting a heap of survivor groups many of whom are still active, which I know cos Extinction is busy fighting you all! I was going to ask him about it but ... well ... I have to work AND do UD! Figured I'd leave you survivors to fix it. Not sure what he's done it for or whether he even knows what the suburb conditions are ... I guess he had some spare time to kill? --Zeug 18:21, 6 September 2007 (BST)

Thanks for the response. My first thought was that he was with Extinction since that was the only zed group he left up and we've seen others. I knew you and the Dr are careful to credit your allies where appropriate, and that you might want to address it. I understand perfectly about the old play/work balance. See you at the barricades. Get to work, Dylan! There's no time for foolin' around! We got work to do! I want everything neat and tidy! If you don't do the job the way I want it done, you're fired! Now move it! --Jerry 21:37, 22 October 2007 (BST)

Landscaping, land mining, it's a tricky distinction. No need to blow up over it, is there? --Dylan Mak Tyme 21:56, 22 October 2007 (BST)
