The Cholmondeley Hotel, located at coordinates 34,10, is one of two hotels in the suburb of Shuttlebank. It is a large red-brick building with an arched entrance. Newspapers and wine can be found inside. It has a really, really weird-sounding name, don't you think? Weirder still, this name is pronounced 'Chumney' as in the old BBC presenter Mr Cholmondeley-Warner.

No one knows the origin of the name "Cholmondeley", although it is most probably the result of the senseless ramblings of the homeless man known only as "Kevan" who slept in the lobby of the building during its re-construction, after it was burned down by the Great Fire of 1912.

Barricade Policy

Extremely Heavily Barricaded at all times, according to the Shuttlebank Barricade Plan.
