[edit] Purpose

The Mass is just the collection of all the members of the 501st not in the council or a special squad. They are the main units used by the upper echelons of power to carry out public operations. Everyone that joins the 501st starts in the Mass.

[edit] Leadership

Members of the Mass are led by their class leader. There are usually three levels to a class. Upon reaching the third level (upon promotion by Sergeant), they are made leaders of their class. Only class leaders can be elected for council offices.

When a member first joins the 501st, they are given one of two titles: Ensign (Military) or Refugee (Civilian or Scientist). Until they specifically choose their class, they stay with these titles.
