For years, the government hid the truth behind the Malton quarintine from everyone, even the military not currently involved with it. It didn't take long before people started questioning why the amount of soldiers was decreasing greatly by the month. It didn't take long before new recruits were pulled straight from boot camp and thrown into the infection zone. The Malton City Boot Camp's 69th Platoon was one of the first to be visited. As they unloaded from their trucks outside the Malton city limits, the smell of death filled the air. Some men tried to run, but were put back into formation with promises of death. As the large steel doors openned, the sight of the wreckage went for miles. As the last of the men walked through, the doors sealed shut and the soldiers were unprepared for what they saw. As they looked on, people were being pulled out onto the streets by their fellow man and were being torn limb from limb. As screams filled the air, gun shots soon overpowered them. As the last of the attackers fell in cold blood, the soldiers stood silent, stunned by what they had just seen. Many of the men ran to the steel doors, banging on them, begging for safety. But the noises just attracted the dead... Within minutes, the streets were covered with them. Some of the man made it out... Others were left behind, their screams echoing in the ears of those who survived. As of now, only one member of the 69th Platoon is accounted for. The others have either yet to find each other, or became one with the masses.
