Basic Info:

  • All junkyards were sealed and locked at the start of the quarantine, and required wirecutters to enter, unless someone else had already cut the fence. It is widely recognised that all junkyards in Malton have already been cut open.

Description

A junkyard located in the suburb of Dulston. Survivors can barricade this location (even though the once mighty chain-link fence is breached) and while searching does, on occaision, yield something from a variety of items it should be noted that not everything found is considered useful. As such, survivors should consider this a safe haven when barricaded, but hardly the best place to stock up on useful gear.

Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, visited the junkyard once while he still worked at Blaise General Hospital in order to check for injured survivors sheltering here. When he arrived survivors distinctly recall Caleb's only comment, "For crying out loud... who went and cut the fence open like this?". This is without a doubt a question asked by many others all across Malton.

Barricade Policy

This location must never be more than Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded. This barricade level has been set forth in the Dulston Optimal Defense Diagram, a strategic barricade policy that is enforced by all member groups of the Dulston Alliance. This location's purpose is to serve as an access point for all survivors and a safehouse for inexperienced survivors who do not possess the Free Running skill. Visitors are requested to never barricade beyond Very Strongly unless the location is currently under siege from 5 or more zombies. Note that any survivors associated with the Dulston Alliance have the right to lower the barricades back to Very Strongly if they discover them raised higher without just cause.

Unreliable Revive Point

While not official, the junkyard does function as an emergency revive point for Dulston during a crisis (i.e. zombie siege of the entire suburb). Due to its overall distance from all NecroTech facilities in the area the revival rate is much slower, although its close proximity to Blaise General Hospital does allow revived survivors to replenish lost health quickly.

It should be noted that the junkyard does not provide any clinic facilities and is thus not considered to be a clinic. The revivification point only serves as a simple triage area where dead survivors can hope to rejoin the living and thus, the battle. Because of the open nature of the point, members are warned to use the facilities at their own risk.

Current Events

December 24th, 2015 - After a resurgence of DC/DC members becoming more active they have fallen into extinction again. It is yet I again, BayouBilly defending this point along with The Defenders Of Life and the D.I.T.P.S, along with a few other groups as always. During this whole time of being a survivor of this epidemic there have always been a few others that remained eternal throughout this whole thing. From being in this area for so long I can tell the people in this here are a strong-point to survival and if you want to live you should stay here. It also happens to be Christmas Eve by the time I post this and we are all sharing a few jolly laughs. Merry Christmas to you all.

August 27th, 2014 - Most of the DC/DC users have now become offline and now it is just I, BayouBilly defending this point and the neighboring Blaise General Hospital along with the D.I.T.P.S and several other groups. I have taken shelter in this point for quite a while now and have come to transform it into almost an infirmary. Across the months I have decorated it with a variety of prized artwork from museums across Dulston. Treweeke Mall has been retaken for a handful of short times but remains in the hands of the dead.

April 16th, 2014 - This junkyard has been taken as the main base for the group DC/DC, a ragtag miniature force defending Dulston. It originally belonged to BayouBilly, the one making this update, but now it is a central meeting point and fallout shelter for the group.

September 5th, 2008 - It was reported that Cpt Garviel Loken, Lord General Militant of the Imperium and ally of the Dulston Alliance, has regrouped his forces from Gibsonton in this junkyard in order to facilitate joint operations with the Alliance. As it stands the suburb is in bad shape, but with a little lot of elbow grease it can be whipped back into shape. At this time the junkyard is to be considered barricaded and safe for survivors.

February 11th, 2008 - I'm holed up here at the moment. Place was wide open when I showed up, and there are zombies scattered throughout the whole suburb. This was the only place I could barricade reliably. Anybody in the area, drop by and give me a hand with the barricades till we can take back some of the suburb. --Brutality
