Malton Electric was the equal largest electricity and gas supplier and retailer in Malton prior to the outbreak (rivaling Malton's other gas and electricity supplier, Malton Power & Light). A state government enterprise of... the state that Malton is in... it supplied power and gas to both Malton and Monroeville (via subterranean cables beneath the ocean floor). Rumours that a blackout around June 2005 is linked with the Malton Incident are still unconfirmed.
While Malton Electric's origins lie shrouded in a figurative cloud of mystery, all known sources state that the company was formed after a textbook merger in 1988 between Malton Electronography (est. 1912) and Longman Electric (founded by Sir Dick Longman in 1986).
