After Action Report

Assault Day December 01, 2007

The Montecute building was assaulted at 1600 EST on December 01, 2007. Upon arrival of assault team, 2 zeds occuping the structure were eliminated by FZJ80 and Darkstar117. Structure was rebuilt from a ruin, and barricaded by SkullFarmer. The building was secured to HB, and in survivor hands at 1615 EST. A generator was installed by bob hyden and fueled by Darkstar117, bringing the structure back to operational status. At 2130 EST the structure was at EHB, and occupied by 3 Arfcom members. "Liberated by ARFCOM. BRD is contagious" was seen written on the wall.

Assault Day + 5 December 05, 2007

The Montacute Building once again lies in the hands of the undead. As of this date the operation has been halted. The following lessons were learned:

  • The initial assault was successful, but due to the lack of ammunition, all members involved quickly ran out, and had to leave to resupply. This would conclude that a strike upon a Tactical Resource Point such as a PD or Mall would be successful given that ammunition could be found there.
  • Not enough members kept a presence inside the target building. Given that a building can only be safely held if someone is inside, Montacute was not occupied to a level that could maintain the barricade levels.
  • A higher level of coordination between members is needed. The initial assault was completed by 3-4 members. This was sufficiant for this operation (there were only 2 zeds occupying at time of assault), but would not be so for a more defended position.
