Basic Info:

  • Cinemas are "shrouded in darkness" when unpowered.
  • Cinemas are Dark buildings.
  • In the presence of a fuelled portable generator, a Cinema's flavor text will change to one of the following:
    • "…a black-and-white drama film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…a recent horror film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…an old horror film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…a black-and-white documentary film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…a recent drama film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…a dramatic science-fiction film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…a black-and-white science-fiction film playing on its main screen."
The Ayers' smoked windows keep out light but let zombies in easily.

Ayers Cinema

Description

A small metal-and-glass building criss-crossed with police tape.

History

The modern yet intimate Ayers Cinema was built in the 1990s to cater for the yuppies flooding into the Village. Showing arthouse films, French noir titles and other convenient covers for erotica, it did indeed prove popular with hipsters who were happy to splurge their college grants on espresso, black polo-necks and Gitanes cigarettes.

Ayers Cinema is the headquarters for the recently started Heathen Clan. It is a safe haven for those who need protection for a short period of time. It's located in the suburb of Foulkes Village. Interesting locations for survivors and zombies may include the Frye Alley Police Department and the Henley Building.

Feb 18, 2019 - Someone set up a generator to watch the big screen and probably aid in bringing the 'cades back up, but with all the zeds outside I wouldn't expect it to last. --MR2Di4 (talk) 06:39, 19 February 2019 (UTC)

Feb 9, 2009 - There is a generator low of fuel, as well as a radio transmitter that's currently set to 28.01 MHz.
