Welcome to the Blackhawk Nation. The front page is made primarily for giving a brief introduction to us, and for recruitment information. If you're looking for more specific information, please have a look at our other pages using our subpages navigator.
[edit] Who are we?
The Blackhawk Nation is a new survivor group in Malton,established in December of 2007 and based in and around the suburb of Vinetown in eastern Malton. The Blackhawk Nation makes claim to the area surrounding Mitchem Mall as its homeland. We will strive to destroy the threat of local PKers and ferals for the benefit of the residents of Vinetown.
We are divided into three divisions - Guajiros, Homeland Defence, and Rangers. These three branches of our group specialize in different fields of operation, but all focus on our common goals.
[edit] Why join us?
- If you're new to the game you will learn tactics and have a team to help back you up when there is danger.
- If you're already a veteran, you'll get to play Urban Dead in a new way, in cooperation with many other experienced players and/or you can help mentor the new players on the team.
- Our numbers are constantly rising. The Blackhawk Nation will become one of the most powerful groups in Malton.
- The ability to chat in real time with other members.
As a Guajiro
- You are a part of the peasant militia.
- Have the benefits of a group without the restrictions imposed by many other groups.
- No officers: You can do whatever you want to, as long as it benefits the Blackhawk Nation.
- But still: You are part of a great survivor group, you have a "hometown", you have the opportunity to participate in operations, you have other players watching your barricades while you sleep, and you'll learn of the zombie hordes approaching before they strike.
As a Revolutionary in the Homeland Defence
- Get a home: Revolutionaries are assigned to a zone-guarding division, which is a stationary unit.
- Sometimes you will have orders, and sometimes you will not: In times of peace and high barricade levels, you're free to do whatever you want to do.
- Metagaming: You should check the forums about 2-3 times a week, although, of course, you're free to be more active if you want to.
- Join some competitions: Every now and then, competitions are held in the Blackhawk Nation.
- Graduate! When you have acquired all the survivor skills, have more than 100 forum posts, and you have been in the Blackhawk Nation for two weeks or more, you'll become a Freedom Fighter. Unlike the easily achieved PFC rank in most other groups, a Blackhawk Nation Freedom Fighter is a person worthy of the highest respect.
As a Ranger
- Take a challenge: We expect you to become one of the finest and most disciplined soldiers in Malton.
- Tour Malton: The Rangers are sent on missions far into hostile territory where they make coordinated strikes and provide assistance to otehr survivor groups.
- Bounty hunting: A major part of your life as a Ranger is spent hunting PKers and zed spies.
- X:00 tactics: Several players logging on at the same time fully supplied and ready to engage the enemies of the Blackhawk Nation in combat and making a difference in the annals of Malton.
- Meet new friends: The close cooperation of the Rangers gives you the opportunity to make new friends and work together.

- If you would like to join us, post a link to your UD profile here, ( tinyurl.com/3dobqx ) and change your UD profile group tag to "Blackhawk Nation". New members become Guajiros. You may apply for to join the Homeland Defence and become a Revolutionary after a having been a member for at least one week, and you can also work your way up to the elite and a spot as one of our Rangers.

The Blackhawk Nation is born.

The Blackhawk Nation has declared the Flowers of Disease as an official enemy. The Flowers of Disease are a group of pk'ers who have targeted us and decided to bring terror to the suburb of Vinetown. They have embarked on a campaign of slander, misinformation, and death. We will fight them as they are a group that must be dealt with. All members of the Flowers of Disease are to be shot on sight. No mercy shall be shown to them as they show no mercy for others.

The war between the Flowers of Disease and the Blackhawk Nation has officially ended. Both sides took their share of casualties. In the end, it was a learning experience for both sides.
