Description
Blackman Drive is one of Malton's most controversial areas. Named by an openly-racist group, the WWW (World Wide Whites) via bribes, many African-Maltonians rallied to change the name. Ironically, the change from Blackman Drive to "Freedom Walk" was set on the first sunday after what was the day of the outbreak (the day the dispute was settled). As such, the name was never changed, although racist graffiti may still be seen on the drive.
