Zombies almost always check inside. Some are often used as literal fortresses, and are sometimes so heavily barricaded that it is impossible to enter without Free Running. Tagging a police station earns 2 XP. They are listed as a Tactical Resource Point. Police Stations can be barricaded normally.

At this moment (December 28th, 2008), Broadbelt Grove Police Department and the area surrounding it has been claimed as a precinct of the Dunell Hills Police Department. The Precinct's head is in charge of Broadbelt Precinct Station's operations, security and resources. See DHPD Broadbelt Grove Precinct for more details.
