Cinemas are Dark buildings. In the presence of a fuelled portable generator, a Cinema's flavor text will change to one of the following: "…a black-and-white drama film still looping silently on its main screen." "…a recent horror film still looping silently on its main screen." "…an old horror film still looping silently on its main screen." "…a black-and-white documentary film still looping silently on its main screen." "…a recent drama film still looping silently on its main screen." Humans and zombies alike will see the following (permanent) description when standing outside the building:

"You are standing outside Caines Cinema, an imposing red-brick building, its doorway flanked by statues."

Such a description is always followed by a report of the building's condition (e.g. the level of its barricades), but since that report is never permanent and always subject to change, it is redundant to include it here as well.

• April 3^rd, 2007: The Drama Club staged a performance of "Army of Darkness" as part of their Border Tour of Malton. The group plans to travel clockwise around the border suburbs of Malton with one show in each suburb. Today they performed for the 5 survivors here as part of this tour.
