The DHPD is both an abbreviation of the old 'pre-outbreak' Dunell Hills Police Department and the new Dunell Hills Police Department, which is a group of survivors made up of Police, Civilian, and Military that are dedicated to protecting survivors that manage to find their way to the Dunell Hills Area. The New DHPD accounts for the main group (Remnants of the original Police Organization and Recruits that operate in the Police Command Structure) and a small independent faction within the larger organization that shares the principles of the overall department, but chooses to operate outside the formalized structure (i.e. they dont want to go through the trouble of editing their profile.) This currently consists of about 15% of the Department.
