Datestamps on Danger Map

I've been looking at the possibility of adding a datestamps (date report was last updated) to suburb danger reports and I think it could be done with minimal effort and no extra work for those updating. For the purpose of the DangerMap, I'd like to have it displayed when hovering over the suburb (not the suburb name). I'd probably also make a new set of templates which could be placed on Suburb pages which would display the info in the suburb information boxes. I'll mock something up but wanted to go ahead and get some feedback on it. ~Vsig.png 21:31, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Raise it on Talk:Suburb, because only the RC stalkers will find this otherwise. -- User:The Rooster RoosterDragon User talk:The Rooster 15:55, 12 August 2011 (BST)
Will do. Since you're about, maybe you can look at the problem I'm running into. I've created {{DangerReportDate}} which passes through a variable, {{{datestamp}}}. I've used this template on User:DangerReport/Roywood. The problem I have is that when it put the code title="{{User:DangerReport/Roywood|template=DangerReportDate}}" onto the DangerMap, it does not pass the datestamp through. I think this is because of the noinclude tags. If so, it may kill my idea since the noinclude tags are pretty pivotal in passing through only the table variables. Maybe I'm missing something, though. ~Vsig.png 16:12, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
Fixed. You should get the date through. However IIRC the magic word won't work the way you want it. You'll get the revision date of the page you're on, not the report page. -- User:The Rooster RoosterDragon User talk:The Rooster 16:33, 12 August 2011 (BST)
Thanks, that works. I'll be bummed if it doesn't pass through the date. I wonder if the use of subst or safesubst would help. ~Vsig.png 16:45, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
