Description

Malton Police Department

Clewett Alley Police Department is a police department located in the suburb of Dulston along the very northern edge of the quarantine zone of Malton, beyond which rows of military razor wire fences and concealed landmines work to keep zombies, and survivors, from traveling further north. As a precinct located near the northeast corner of Dulston it often sees very little action, which usually counts towards the lower-than-average survivor numbers taking shelter within its walls.

Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, has on occasion stopped at Clewett Alley PD while working on official NecroTech assignments at The Beale Building (97,0). During his last visit he urged survivors to update the PD's current status. It should be noted that these days the police station has become the HQ for the survivor group known as the Flustered Brethren, a member group of the Dulston Alliance. They plan to use the building as a staging point for all their operations within Dulston.

Mandate

  1. To serve and protect all survivors within a 3x3 block grid (south) of the precinct.
  2. To maintain resource building barricades at Very Strongly.
  3. To maintain non-resource building barricades within a 3x3 block grid at Extremely Heavily. These buildings will act as safe houses for Free Runners attacking zombie groups in the area.

Affiliates

To date police and military personnel stationed at Clewett Alley PD commonly work with survivors located in nearby resource buildings, namely:

  1. Spicer Row PD [96,0]
  2. The Beale Building (97,0)
  3. Oake Walk PD [93,0]
  4. Anne General Hospital [96,2]
  5. Weston Crescent Fire Station [95,2]

Barricade Policy

This building will be Extremely Heavily (EH) barricaded. This barricade level is not in accordance with the Dulston Optimal Defense Diagram, a strategic barricade policy that is enforced by all member groups of the Dulston Alliance, but is required due to the building's new role as an Alliance HQ. This building's current purpose is to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran survivors.

These days the building has come under the direct management of the Flustered Brethren (FLUBS), a member group of the Dulston Alliance. As such, members of this miltant survivor group should be granted authority to set the barricade level as they see fit. Also any issues associated with the building's current barricade level should be directed to the FLUBS (over-barricading, ect).

Current Events

January 26th, 2010 - 7-10 survivors inside, EHB and no Zeds out the front. Approximately 5 zeds in the surrounding area but it should be knoted that more could be in the ruined spicer road police department next door.--Surfraptor2:55 26 January 2010 (EST)

February 3rd, 2009 - The last real Survivor Stronghold of over 30 strong has been decimated over-night. 17 Zombies inside and only a handful of Survivors left at the time of this report.--The Duke of Earl 17:11, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

December 18th, 2008 - Orophin Minyatur of D.I.T.P.S reported that the police station was still ruined. Due to the extended period in which it lay in ruin considerable effort would need to be made in order to repair the building (35 AP).

December 12th, 2008 - Dead vs Blue recon reported that a zombie and a survivor were inside, possibly duking it out. The building was fairly badly damaged (28 AP to repair).

November 2nd, 2008 - The police station was reported to be powered and Heavily barricaded. No indication of any zombie threats.

October 20th, 2008 - Ruined. Not much else to say. --Linkthewindow Talk 06:37, 20 October 2008 (BST)

October 8th, 2008 - Xahn Borealis of The Electric Light Torchestra, reported, "I'm gonna risk zombie spies reading this and say that Clewett Alley PD has been fully barricaded AND powered for a few days now and that it would make a suitable safehouse for anyone and everyone. So come on down... I mean up."

Update: There are 7 zombies sieging the police station and the portable generator was destroyed. Damn word-reading zombie spies!

September 9th, 2008 - Officer Murphy of Dead vs Blue reported the police station had been reclaimed and re-barricaded thanks to efforts by DvB. The building was now Very Strongly barricaded.

August 28th, 2008 - D.I.T.P.S reported recon from this location, namely that it was still holding out against the Militant Order of Barhah... for the time being. Unfortunately with most of the suburb in ruins survivors here know that it will not be long before the MoB arrives in force to clear them out.

June 14th, 2008 - Survivors here are still holding out. Things are safe and the building is well barricaded.

June 12th, 2008 - Somehow survivors have recovered the building. It's VHB but it doesn't have a genny. --Firefighter00789 05:59, 12 June 2008 (BST)

May 29th, 2008 - Looks pretty safe it's EHB, powered and only 6 zombies outside.

January 25th, 2008 - Good times are back again, as the precinct is back in survivor hands. Rebuilding efforts are currently underway to re-secure this location.

December 2nd, 2007 - And so the Infected Swarm came knocking again and, being as drunk as they are, FLUB let us in again. The holiday season is under way and the Swarm are not done with getting all our presents as yet. We got a call saying that some friends may be stopping by for dinner and that is a good thing.

November 26th, 2007 - The Infected Swarm have about finished bathing in the beer and has decided that it likes this building very much. The Pre-Thanksgiving feast was the bomb, and pickled human brains tasted the best, but some believe they are less filling. As such, we stayed for the fun of it. Survivors did manage to retake the building for a day or so, but that was short-lived. The survivor hit-and-run tactics have been doing little to get us out. --Vachon Blaze 19:28, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

"I do believe that's a challenge if I ever I've heard one." --Mobius187 00:41, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

November 21st, 2007 - DAGGONE IT! The pre-Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving keg parties planned by the Flustered Brethren for Clewett have been postponed until next week. However, no fewer than 175 other survivors are purportedly on their way to go do some hunting, so I announce the opening of the new Clewett Alley Shooting Gallery for survivor amusement. Anyone with a corkscrew gets in free.

November 13th, 2007 - The building is barricaded and powered, well, most of the time. The Flustered Brethren have their HQ back, though they didn't exactly set the world on fire helping out the last time it was cleaned out. They were too busy at Treweeke Mall, bum-rushing the Heineken display that had just been put up in the northwestern corner. Dingbats.

November 10th, 2007 - The building is barricaded, but unpowered. The Dulston Alliance and local survivors have reclaimed the building and ejected its former zombie inhabitants.

November 8th, 2007 - It seems the Windex hasn't been working and the Flustered Brethren have not been able to spend much time in their new HQ and, the dance dance revolution continues. --Captain Grisum 16:18, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

October 3rd, 2007 - The Flustered Brethren have claimed the police station as their new headquarters, from which they intend to cleanse northeast Dulston of its current zombie problems.

July 26th, 2007 - Zombie sources claim that the PD has fallen and been ransacked. This is probably the case, as why would a zombie lie about eating delicious brains? It's considered that the building is currently devoid of life.

February 4th-6th, 2007 - The Shamblin' Crooners returned to Clewett Alley PD, making it the fifth stop in their new SHAMBLIN' CROONERS APOCALYPSE tour. Dulston survivors heard a lot more angst in the zombie tunes as they sang heavier music including Metal, Grunge, and of course Death Metal.

August 8th, 2006 - More Z!ng, Z!ng from the Shamblin' Crooners. Will the police stationed at Clewett Alley PD ever be able to get enough? Probably, but the Shamblin' Crooners keep on dishing out the tunes.

May 1st, 2006 - After their initial warm welcome and success here a few weeks ago the Shamblin' Crooners made a return performance to satisfy all their fans who still hungered for more Z!ng, Z!ng. Again, the only fatalities were all good natured ones.

April 14th, 2006 - The Shamblin' Crooners made their usual grand entrance and entertained everyone inside with their famous "break-in & concert" style of zombie rock. Some humans were eaten. Some zombies were shot. Bottom line, everyone had fun. Rock on Crooners, rock on...

February 17th, 2006 - Not much action, as recon shows very little zombie activity in the area. A recent NecroNet report issued by both the Beale Building and the Trood Building show 2 zombies hiding out in the old Troubridge Cinema. Looks like we'll have to grab our shotguns and clear them out...

November 17th, 2005 - After a raid by the Drunken Dead on Clewett Alley PD breached the building's barricades, the surviving humans fled. The Drunken Dead claim this would not have been so bad if evidence had not been uncovered that indicated the survivors had moved two kegs of what appeared to be alcoholic beverages to the neighbouring Spicer Row Police Department. It is a sad day for the Drunken Dead, but they swore vengeance on the thieves and vowed to retrieve the kegs the next day, no matter the cost.
