- You people are so hypocritical! You put down suggestions to do with protective looking clothing items, because you say people will think there is a ingame effect... yet you vote for a helmet? There is a possible defence bonus in-game affect for this, yet I see that many of the people who have killed other ideas for 'percieved ingame effects' are voting yes! Hell, maybe just use a leopard-print hat or a single variety of hat that you can pass off as a pimp hat. I just can't condone using "pimp hat" as a general name for an entire category of hats, especially since "a pimp hat" could easily be taken to mean "a really cool/stylish hat" ...just no...--William Told 1:02, 10 May 2008 (EST)

- Its specifically stated that no one is meant to know where malton is so what says malton isnt in china. Heck what says malton isnt on an island in the middle of the ocean seperate from all the other countries. Thus why we see US armed forces alongside british forces. Perhaps its a necrotech owned island. No matter where malton is i think this is a great idea. --Sephikus T 11:43, 10 June 2007 (BST)

[edit] Pirate Hat
Specifically, the hat I want is a Tricorne, but I'm not too fussy... call it a "tricorne", "tricorn", "tri-cornered hat", "three-cornered hat" or just go for the non-specifically-lame but easy-to-recognise "pirate hat".
If you need a mental picture, think "CaptainJack Sparrow." (And please, no comments about the absence of a certain ethanol-based beverage)
Where to find one? Um... a costume shop I guess, so maybe the (a?) Mall, and some rich body might have kept an ancestor's hat in the attic of their Mansion – they were naval hats originally. —Revenant talk 17:12, 9 June 2007 (BST)
- Comment: If I can't get a tricorne, then I'll have to wear a top hat and call it a tricorne, and it just won't be the same. :( They are still worn by various groups and individuals today: The Lord Mayor of London wears one, as do fans of various revolutionary sports teams in the US. - I'm all for humor, but if this passes, we'll have to add ninjas. Then to counter the ninjas, we'd have to add vikings. Then to counter the vikings, we'd have to add Ninja Pirate Jesus to unite the Pirates and the Ninjas against the Viking menace. A dǝǝɥs oʇ ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 01:59, 11 June 2007 (BST)
- All you'd need to be a ninja is a ski mask (suggested above) and generally black clothing. Ninjas are very conservative dressers. I concede you have a point about the Vikings and Pirate Ninja Jesus. —Revenant talk 07:22, 11 June 2007 (BST)

When someone had written "plunder this monastery" in runes on the monastery wall, they did just that (no evidence on this. They were very cleanly and cleaned up after themselfs... And the vikings didn't keep a diary..). Ehhh.. a descendant must defend her ancestors... --Hejsa 19:32, 12 June 2007 (BST)

An extremely bad-ass hat that can be found in factories. Enough said. --Skitchipoo 06:24, 12 June 2007 (BST)
- I guess enough wasn't said. It should cover both the head and face slots since it wouldn't make sense to wear a mask with one, and I was thinking of the auto-polarized ones so you can wear it and still be able to see (but having a broken lens is also viable). --Skitchipoo 07:21, 12 June 2007 (BST)

- Because you didn't specify what kind. Some have a lens shade that auto polarizes when bright lights (the spark lights emitted when welding, I have one of these.) come into view. Older models are perma-dark (these ones are fucking annoying). If it's an older model, you wouldn't be able to see. If you change it to say the lens shade is missing or broken, or something to the effect of clarifying whether the lens is polarized or not, then you'd get my vote.-- dǝǝɥs oʇ ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 06:52, 12 June 2007 (BST)
- Having owned one of these, I can honestly say there is no reason I would ever wear it if I can avoid it. Not comfortable, and not beneficial when surviving against zombies, not even stylish. Maybe you wanted a set of the not-as-dark goggles people wear when using torches- rivethead kids do wear THOSE, and they make passable sunglasses on very bright days if for some reason your pupils are unusually dialated. --Seb_Wiers Imagine 02:00, 13 June 2007 (BST)
