Zombies frequently check inside. At the moment the Hospital is one of the few buildings in which Portable Generators have a use other than powering the lights, and increasing search probability. Players with the Surgery Skill can heal for 15 HP if the Hospital has a fueled up Generator. Hospitals are listed as Tactical Resource Points. Hospitals can be barricaded normally. Among the internal descriptions found in Hospitals: "...its wards and corridors blackened with the soot of a recent fire" "...its empty wards criss-crossed with snapped quarantine tape." "...one of the city's psychiatric hospitals." "...dark corridors leading through abandoned wards." "...its emergency room in disarray." "...its lobby covered with quarantine posters." This is one of two hospitals in Malton named Cyril General Hospital. The other Cyril General Hospital is located in Roachtown.

The Hospital was originally financed by donations from the estate of Malton philanthropist Dr. Reginald Cyril, with matching funds from private investors and charities. Dr. Cyril funded both hospitals that bear his name in Malton.

Cyril General Hospital is found in northwest Foulkes Village at GPS location [3, 83]. It is somewhat fortuitously located: two nearby auto repair shops and factories ensure a steady supply of generators and fuel for the area's surgeons, and the headquarters of the Crew Avenue Police Department is also one block away. However, the nearest known NecroTech building is half a suburb away, at [8,88], and the nearest malls are two suburbs over.

Cyril General has been designated as the primary medical facility for the Crew Avenue Police Department compound. The group currently maintains and protects the building, in addition providing medical services to all survivors.

In accordance with the Uniform Barricade Plan, this building should be barricaded no heavier than "very strongly". Accordingly, it should be considered unsuitable for overnight stay.

The Crew Avenue Police Department currently manages of the hospital. The CAPD staffs the hospital with medical professionals, as well as providing housecalls from the hospital into the surrounding neighborhood.

The lights are on, and the hospital is staffed with medical professionals of various skill levels. The building is barricaded against attacks but does permit entry for survivors.
