Join the DHPD! [edit] November CelebrationNovember 1st, 2005, shall be remembered as the day the DHPD was officially founded. Has it been a year already? Yes, it has, and now you too can be a part of the celebration! This entire month, the DHPD will be celebrating it’s "birthday" with special events and opportunities for former, current, and future members. As we enter the second month of the siege on our home precinct, we look to our future, and it is brighter than ever. Due to recent promotions, expansion, and attrition, we are looking for new recruits to fill out the many positions that are available. We have openings in our precincts for patrol officers, SWAT team members, and science and medical workers. Positions are open to all volunteers, and they come with benefits! When you join, mention where you saw us and get your first service ribbon! You may have seen ads for specific divisions before, but maybe they didn't tickle your fancy. Now's your chance to get the job you want: the whole DHPD is recruiting! There is plenty of action to be had, even though the DMZ (Dunell Military Zone) is one of the safest (if anywhere in Malton is truly safe) blocks of suburbs in the city. Average wait time for a DHPD revive is less than six hours, and FAKs are dispatched with such frequency that you are often healed and cured before you even know you have been attacked. However, don't let us give you the wrong impression. We have our share of zombies trying to take us down a peg. They fail miserably, but they try anyway. Five of our thirteen precinct stations are currently engaging active hordes, so there are plenty of headshots to go around. So, come on down to Dunell Hills and join the fun! [edit] WelcomeFirst, let me welcome you to the Personnel Department of the Dunell Hills Police Department. Coffee and dounuts are on your left, weapons and ammo are on your right (axes are in the back). Second, being a member of the DHPD is a fast, easy, and quick way to make friends and allies. In this zombie-infested city, that can be very important. There are several steps involved to joining the DHPD, so the next few paragraphs may be boring, but please pay attention as the next few minutes you spend may one day save your life or the life of one of your friends. Only the steps marked with asterisks (*) are mandatory.
If you are, great. Step one: complete.
If you think so, then we want you to join up! Step two: complete.
Read up already? Darn, you're good. Step three: complete.
Note that only specified officers are to add your name to our roster. When you're done with all of that, come on down to Dunell Hills and help us bash some zeds! Happy hunting, officer! Be sure to check out all of the different department links (at the bottom of this page) for information that will prove useful, especially to newer members. Stay alive, and stay safe. Once again, we welcome you aboard one of the largest (and best) groups in Malton! [edit] BenefitsIn addition to a very competitive salary, the DHPD offers the following as part of its extensive benefits plan: 1. Health Insurance - The DHPD is self-insured, reducing co-payments to $0.00. Our crack medical teams, with special training in trauma and infectious diseases, are available at most DMZ hospitals and can provide everything from simple first aid to surgery. 2. Life Insurance - Dury Casualty and Life provides the best coverage in Malton, with a great number representatives in the Dunell Hills area alone. The DHPD can now ensure a timely return to work for any officer in the field. 3. Support - As the highest ranked survivor group in Malton, we can guarantee that within the DMZ, we can all but guarantee that there will be someone close who can help you out if you need back-up in a dangerous situation. 4. The DHPD Most Wanted List - This now infamous list allows us to identify troublemakers such as PKers and GKers and quickly get the word out to our members faster than you can believe. Also, with our listed process (putting names and profiles on the list), we can almost ensure that you will not suffer from being put on a bounty list if you follow the procedure carefully. 5. Flexibility - Although the DHPD does have a command structure, it's up to you to determine how involved you want to be. You can choose to join a division, a precinct, or one of our nine squads, or you can be a solo patrolman, doing what is necessary to help protect survivors on your own time and in your own way. 6. Advancement Opportunities - We always need new people to fill important positions in the department. Regardless of level or experience, all candidates are considered for any occupation. 7. Community - As an officer, you also get discounts at most Dunell Hills area merchants, including free donuts and half priced beer! What more could you want? Join the DHPD today!
