The Danversbank Relief and Reconstruction Project (DRRP) is an emergency management group operating in the suburb of Danversbank. Its primary goals are to provide power and communications, rebuild infrastructure, maintain barricades, and defend all area survivors against the undead hordes. Additional goals include providing revivification and medical services, disseminating witticisms while under the influence, and generally having more fun than should be allowable in the midst of a horrifying-yet-somehow-hilarious zombie apocalypse. The DRRP promotes a sense of community and encourages survivors to get to know one another and, if circumstances permit, procreate.

[edit] Mission and Protocol

The DRRP's objectives and procedures fall under the following categories:

  • Supply

Every building with a significant survivor presence should have power and communications. Power is most important in resource buildings as it increases the search odds for useful items and draws prospective gun-toting boozehounds to the area. Generators, fuel and transmitters are therefore prioritized for these locations. The Kynaston Building (NT) holds primary importance, followed by police departments and hospitals, the Barrow Building (housing the suburb mobile phone mast) and selected fire stations. Without power there can be no suburb-wide communications (mobile phone or radio) and survivors will be forced to spend significantly more AP searching for resources (weapons, ammo, medicine, beer, toilet paper).

  • Communication

The DRRP stresses the importance of frequent communication via pertinent (and impertinent) radio broadcasts, in-game text messaging and in-game speech. Reporting zombie activity, break-ins, revive point queues, GKing and PKing, stranded survivors, supply shortages, et al is the most effective way to deal with threats and ensure a quick response during the ongoing emergency. Broadcasts should be signed or initialled if at all possible.

  • Barricades

Maintaining anti-zombie barricades at proper levels is perhaps the most essential component to the security of the community. Survivors without Free Running must have access to shelter and resources via dedicated entry points and tactical resource points. At the same time the community as a whole must be kept as secure as possible. Many resource buildings are maintained at VSB+2, but due to relatively low survivor numbers some must be maintained at EHB. Until the population grows and becomes more actively involved in community affairs the DRRP will enforce the Provisional Danversbank Barricade Plan (PDBP).

  • Public Services

Without revivification and first aid all other efforts are irrelevant. Survivors in need of medical attention should proceed to one of the three area hospitals (Servatius General Hospital, Martha General Hospital (Danversbank) or Teresa General Hospital). For those unlucky enough to be undead, the primary revive point in Danversbank is the cemetery [73, 97] located between St. Simon's Church and Teresa General Hospital. A secondary revive point has been set up one block south of the Kynaston Building (NT) at Angerstein Park [75, 92]. Both RPs are listed on the PDBP and tagged with a link to the revive request tool. For more information regarding undeath and how best to reverse it please visit Gina Semple.

  • Armed Response

DRRP members are known to enjoy killing hostile zombies, zombie spies, griefers, alcohol prohibitionists, GKers and PKers. The DRRP does not tolerate PKing within the bounds of Danversbank, and known assassins will be met with hostility. All murders will be reported to the Malton Police Department and known PKers will be be spanked mercilessly and sent home to mummy following standard bounty-hunting procedures.

[edit] Inventory

Personal inventory will vary according to established roles. However, all members should carry at least the following items:

Radio: This should be tuned to 26.90 MHz (Danversbank Broadcast Signal) at all times to allow interception of suburb broadcasts even in locations where a radio transmitter is either not present, unpowered or tuned to a different frequency.
Fire axe: The backup weapon of choice. Hand To Hand Combat and Axe Proficiency combine to give a 40% hit chance for 3 damage and a 40% chance per attempt of weakening a barricade section. Useful for maintaining barricades in accordance with the PDBP.
Crowbar: If you don't have Hand To Hand Combat and Axe Proficiency then the crowbar is the most effective weapon against barricades with up to a 40% chance per attempt of weakening a barricade section. Useful for maintaining barricades in accordance with the PDBP.
Toolbox

Members are also strongly encouraged to carry either a portable generator, a fuel can, or both. As Danversbank has neither a factory nor an auto repair shop it is critical that members have supplies on hand at all times. The nearest factory is in West Whittenside. The nearest auto repair shop is in either South Hollomstown or East Grayside. Intermittent runs to Blesley Mall in Gulsonside or Buckley Mall in Wyke Hills will be necessary as the Tech Store is the only reliable source for radio transmitters. All supply centers, including the malls, are accessible via Free Running.

[edit] How to Volunteer

The DRRP is currently seeking motivated scientists, doctors, scroungers, builders, community outreach specialists, bartenders and zombie hunters. Interested parties should be prepared to work for the betterment and defense of the entire community. Please contact any DRRP member listed below in-game at Sleway Row Police Department, Voss Lane Police Department, or one of the other 48 buildings in the suburb.

[edit] Do Not Revive (DNR) List

  • Policy

The DRRP encourages all survivors to make use of the DEM Revive Request Tool when requesting revives and when identifying those who need (and merit) a revive. The DRRP also encourages the use of the Rogues Gallery, an online list of player-killers and griefers that is maintained by the DEM. Those with significant entries on the Rogues Gallery should not be revived.

The DRRP requests that all survivors use DNA scanning prior to performing revives and ask that no random revives be conducted at Danversbank revive points. There are a number of zombie groups and griefers operating in Danversbank who, if revived to human form, will destroy generators and conduct acts of sabotage (including killing other survivors). Those who persistently conduct random revives will themselves be treated as griefers.

If you get killed by a jacktard of the name cool nYou claiming to be a member of our group please take note he is on our DNR list and don't take it out on us.

[edit] Bulletins

DRRP members and concerned citizens may post bulletins/suggestions here. Be sure to follow the format and keep the most recent post at the top.

August 17th, 2007 - R33F3RM4N

Fort Perryn will be the scene of fierce fighting this weekend. DRRP personnel will be available to provide medical assistance to those who fall in the fighting. Please use the DEM Revive Request Tool to request revives at the standard Danversbank and Whittenside RPs.

July 16th, 2007 - R33F3RM4N

A much needed update - retired members have been removed to their own category, allies have been updated. The S of the suburb is surprisingly quiet, the only exception being the area near MGH and Lea Ave FS, both of which are subject to frequent attacks.
