Description

Darbey Cinema is a cinema located in the suburb of Rhodenbank along the border with Earletown to the west. The theater features multiple concession stands, a small arcade area, and kiosk ticket booths. The theater's design gives it a futuristic environment with special lighting, LCD film trailer displays, and a stylized special event room.

Every auditorium in every theater features the following:

  • Dolby Digital surround sound
  • Stadium seating
  • Reclining seat backs
  • Retractable arm rests/cup holders

In addition, the large auditoriums feature two-floor exits with central seating for patrons with physical disabilities and elevator access. The theater is equipped with Christie digital cinema systems and Real D 3D cinema systems. After the "Malton Incident" the theater became the spot of several gruesome battles, as both zombies and survivors fought for control of the suburb.

Now Playing

Darbey Cinema has a wide range of movies that, at least at the time of the outbreak, were considered "new releases". At this time all but one of the cinemas 10 theater rooms has gone silent. Theater #6 is currently playing An American Werewolf in London (1981). While hardly new, even when factoring in the time the outbreak occurred, it is more likely this particular movie was retrieved and setup to play by a tech-savvy survivor.

Mandate

Survivors are asked to report the current status of the cinema so that all avid moviegoers will know what to expect when they arrive. Survivors who do arrive are asked to adhere to the following procedure:

  1. Retrieve popcorn and soda from the snack bar (if any).
  2. Sit in one of the theater rooms still playing a movie.
  3. Watch the movie.
  4. Go to bathroom.
  5. Repeat from Step 1.

To review what movies are currently playing at the theater please refer to Now Playing for all your movie updates.

Barricade Policy

Please keep this building at EHB.

In accordance with the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps barricade plan the location should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. The true purpose of this building is to serve as a heavily fortified shelter for Malton's veteran survivors.
