Caiger Mall and the Latrobe Building are still ruined. Around 25 stand at the revive point at Salopia Row, but I've seen only a couple of revives over the past two days. The good news is that there aren't as many many zombies as you would expect at places other than the revive point-- one or two every few blocks. Most buildings are barricaded, including both NTs. Caiger Mall is still fine. The only significant zombie activity seemed to be on the Eastonwood border; binoc scouting and NecroNet scans showed only a handful of of Zeds in the area. Danger level may be merely Moderate, but further independent investigation is needed. Unfortunetely, this reporter's photos got deleted due a freak EMP surge in a local electrical factory, you'll just have to trust me on this, or see for yourself. ;) --WanYao 03:18, 14 May 2008 (BST)

Latrobe was ruined yesterday with the SW entry to Caiger Mall following soon after. The ensuing bloodbath as The Dead, Extinction and mobs of ferals fell on the hapless defenders was quick and brutal as 250 fresh living brains were torn from their former owners broken skulls and devoured by the crazed zombies. While much of Darvall Heights is barricaded the ruination of its Mall and main NT usually spells disaster for those left behind. Zombies have breached VSB entry points to Caiger Mall, and have been sieging the SW corner of the mall itself. Caiger Mall and Latrobe NT remain well barricaded and defended against a growing zombie presence attracted by the bright lights and sounds of drunken merry making as the survivors anxiously await the next big undead assault. Manei Domini has captured the Latrobe Building. ROM Agents are also asked to follow Case White procedure within the 48 hours. This easy capture was due largely in part to the ineffective seige tactis of The Dead. NecroWatch reported from the Latrobe Building revealing that there were 133 zombies within scanning range of the facility. Of note, there were 32 zombies at the Salopia Row revive point, 27 more zombies at a cemetery revive point, 14 zombies at the southwest corner of Caiger Mall in Chudleyton, and 7 zombies at St. Isidore's Church. --Mobius 16:44, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Things are getting even worse in Darvall Heights. The Militant Order of Barhah breached the Herman Building last night, in a probing attack by The Nightly Inquisition. In the mayhem, the generator was knocked out. Those experiencing telecommunications difficulties at this time will understand the reason for it. A great number of wounded survivors there mounted a stiff defense, and in their desperation were forced to perform combat revives with the ever increasingly scarce supplies available. More zombies are expected to pour in over the next few hours. The 30 or so survivors that are in the contiguous cemetery awaiting Mrh? revives are going to have to be very patient or move south towards the next safest suburb. --FLZombie 04:47, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

The MOB successfully breached Latrobe NT last night, turning it into a slaughter house. I woke this morning to find 76 zeds inside with a mere 4 survivors left defending. We at TNR salute the MOB for giving us one hell of a f(r)ight. --Blanemcc 10:52, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

The survivors in the NE section of Craiger Mall are no more. They have been overrun and that area has been ruined. The total zed count far exceeds the original calculation of sixty. The survivors in the remaining area of the mall should ignore the pleas from the zombies of the MOB for more brains, and seek shelter elsewhere. An update on Latrobe: The MOB is again showing how they roll. As I write this, human numbers have dropped drastically to 65, and the zombie count inside is 15. NecroWatch scan reports from both the Herman and Latrobe Buildings showed that there were 54 zombies within scanning range of both facilities. Of these numbers, 21 zombies were assaulting the Latrobe facility itself, while most of the remaining zombies were scattered in the general area. Of the smaller zombie mobs the only significant ones were in the form of 7 zombies at the Hallett Building and 5 more zombies who were detected across the border in East Becktown at the Doggrell Hotel. --Mobius187 07:34, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Caiger is back up, and so is Latrobe NT. Zombified Pro survivors and survivors are coming in from as far south as Lerwill Heights and Shore Hills looking for needles,First Aid and such. Clissold Road has been set up as a refugee Revive Point, so please scan all zombies there BEFORE you attack. All the hospitals and other NT are still without power, but fully restored ecxept for 1. With Caiger back up and running, the zombies have taken down Ackland, so any assistance that can be spared, please come help us out-we helped with Caiger countless times, and so forth.--BLooDCLotT 19:42, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Caiger Mall and its surrounding area have been overrun and ruined. A brief scouting run showed that the ruins extend out to at least St. Izzy's and most of the rest of Darvall Heights. Peter the Hermit wrote up a wonderful history of the Siege of Jerusalem Caiger, but it would be interesting to see an unbiased version- the tactics used were certainly quite unusual (give or take Shacknews) and we've got an absolute ton of Iwitness reports from Rummers deeming Latrobe unsafe, the Eastonwood Feral ruined ring enclosing in on the Mall and that final massed attack. This is my first time editing a page, so please forgive me if this is messed up.

Caiger Mall is under serious attack (forgive me - I don't have iWitness). Zombies have broken into the mall, ruining one section and killing and destroying the others. Survivors inside are trying their best to fend off the zed attack, but this is only the beginning. Also, repeated PKing from members of Red Rum and its affiliates haven't helped matters any - their efforts to "cleanse" The Latrobe Building being largely successful, it was easy for the zombies to take over and ruin the building when the attack started. There efforts to arouse fear and discord don't end there, however - they continue to kill innocent survivors instead of helping fight the invasion. According to Caiger's news page, it was they who cleaned out the NW corner - allowing a horde of 26 zombies to overrun and ruin the corner. --Wolf Queen 01:16, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

A massed attack by murderers, including Red Rum, Pathetic Bill, MSK, The Discordian Society and several loners, killed over a hundred survivors in mere minutes. A large group of level41 zombies and PKers called "The House of Wax" (and many variants on that name) have leveled St Matheos's Hospital. They are all named after somebody famous, with l (L) in the names being replaced with I (i) or other such substitutions, and profiles that profess them to be a waxwork of that person. --Jac Z 00:25, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Not only does overcading still seem an issue, but there are numerous buildings that are caded to EHB and ruined to boot (see article: Pinata). Survivors must now tear down the cades from outside as they can't freerun into the ruined building.Rocky Ford 20:59, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

We are often glad when we passed beyond the veil of life and death, we lost our human sensibilities. Why? With the two of the three hospitals in Darvall Hieghts battered to pieces and possibly upwards of 50 zombies within striking distance, the living continue to return to the savaged hospitals, throw up some barricades, and hope for the best. They are consequently shattered, and the living consumed. St. Matheos's Hospital is the only stronghold they have left, though I can't be sure, this rotter thinks it won't last long.

St. Matheos's Hospital has been brought back to EHB as well, but there is little if any activity there. St. Pius' Hospital is constantly being broken in to, despite the best efforts of the survivors within to maintain the barricades, there are always new broken bodies in the street...

Warning: Zombie activity is definitely on the rise. After fleeing from a good zombie presence in East Becktown, I ran towards Caigar Mall, only to find a small horde of 46 zombies standing outside of the Latrobe building, and a strong presence in the SE corner of Darvall Heights and all of its surrounding suburbs. I ran, ran so far - and a previously VS+2 building that was my last hope (and last AP) was max-barred. *gulp* Not expecting to feel very lively when I wake up tomorrow. This could be the beginning of another invasion of Caigar Mall.

  • Zombie activity has not been on the rise, and 40 Zeds is barely a threat to a mall, even Caiger. That small group has been there since the place was taken back a month ago, and this dude clearly wasn't around then. Yes, zed activity has dropped, but I've seen 3 or 4 zeds lurking near Caiger, but since I had to get a new name - there was nothing I could do about it. But I think this may be the calm before the storm. And make sure you travel in groups.

Things in the area are starting to cool off a bit as Caiger is being held in survivor hands at the moment. It is still strongly encouraged for survivors to NOT stay in resource buildings even with the latest changes and to stay in groups of no more than 3-4. If you have a generator and fuel, it is asked that you start to power resource buildings again as to expedite the recovery of the area.

With The Latrobe building having fallen, the zombies laying siege to Caiger Mall have taken advantage of the demoralisation of the survivors to press their attack, breaching the northwest corner of the mall. After a number of vague radio messages about some new Zed leader named "Zombie Mistress"... she has shown herself first in living form walking inside Caiger mall promising "exquisite pain". Then later seen outside Caiger Mall as a zombie going after key buildings.

Regardless, quite a number of zombies seem to be coming towards this suburb in small groups, from all directions. Soon a larger battle may be on our hands. The entire suburb currently seems to have no shortage of zombies attacking any safehouses they can breach.

Cut us some slack, without harmanz to eat, it's been a bit dull, har har har. Things are warming up a bit, but the east of Caiger remains quiet, as usual. CRF forces are campaigning in the local neighborhoods, decimating harman safehouses and ransacking supply locations which harmanz hope to use against the Barhah mall home guard. The Western side of Darvall Heights still contains a fair amount of zombies, particularly closer to Caiger. However, the numbers seem to be decreasing, most likely because zombies grow bored without survivors to attack. The number of open buildings seems to be decreasing.

Crossman PD is constantly inhabited by zombies, and surrounded by them all over. Alot of PKing on the zombie side at the revive point one south of Crossman, almost daily. One interesting thing spraypainted inside of the PD, "GANKBUS WOO WOO". Not sure what else is happening in other places further from Crossman. Hope there's any chance at all that Darvall can be reclaimed again.

The revive points are getting worse, over 90 zeds in the cemetery S of the presently VS barricaded Hermen necrotech building, survivor numbers in caiger seem to be dropping with around 1110 inside caiger, about 800 in the eastern side of the mall. the latrobe necrotech is still ransacked with 48 zeds outside and 53 inside, holloms auto repair, the Wagner building (NC)and the sweeney building(nc) are all left wide open, with relatively minor zombie presences inside. --Yanksta 23:38, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

The siege on Caiger Mall continues, the loss of the Sweeney, Latrobe and Herman Necrotech buildings around Caiger may prov eto be decisive as the revive points at Yeandill Towers 23, 28 mounts to over 20 zombies and the Cemetery has over 60 zombies in it. There is currently a horde of 300+ zombies outside the SE corner of Caiger mall. Survivors need to retake the Necros, latrobe is still heavily infested, but the Herman and Sweeney buildings seem to only have a minor zombies presence and can probaly can be quite easily recaptured and held buy the around 1200 survivors in caiger currently there. --yanksta 14:42, November 8, 2006 (UTC)

The third major siege of Caiger Mall has now entered its second week. The mall still stands but the Latrobe Building has been completely overrun. At this point in the battle the humans and zombies seem to be evenly matched. The zombies have broken into the mall on a daily bases only to be blown right back out again by human resistance. Back on a neutral POV, zombie attacks are becoming much stronger, even away from Caiger Mall. Numerous reports have the Herman Building, St. Isidore's Church, and others being targeted and cracked. Also, there have been sightings of zombie from other major hordes, such as the Feral Undead and the RRF. With the fall of the Latrobe Building, expect such attacks to continue, and perhaps more concentrated efforts on the mall itself.
