Zombies almost always check inside. Some are often used as literal fortresses, and are sometimes so heavily barricaded that it is impossible to enter without Free Running. Tagging a police station earns 2 XP. They are listed as a Tactical Resource Point. Police Stations can be barricaded normally.

This police department is classified as a "ENTRY POINT" and as such is kept at Very Strongly barricaded plus 2 (VSB++). The reason it has been chosen is due to the fact it allows entry to that block of the building in that cluster(commonly called islands, I find it helpful to think of Malton as lands of buildings and seas of open spaces)
