[edit] About the Plan

This is the barricade policy for the suburb of Dulston. The Dulston Optimal Defense Diagram is similar to the Uniform Barricading Policy, but is specific to Dulston. Unless stated otherwise most of the buildings in the suburb are Extremely Heavily (EH) barricaded, but there are strategically placed buildings that have been specifically marked as being Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded. The objective is to keep access into buildings distributed so as to provide optimal protection and defending access to key resources. The reason it deviates from the UBP is that this plan provides more safe houses that are not high-priority zombie horde targets for lower-level survivors. It also provides more entry points for those survivors with Free Running. This diagram is meant to be used to keep the inhabitants of Dulston informed as to the location of these barricade levels.

To encourage conformity to the plan, please spray paint buildings with tags similar to the following:

Keep barricades EHB: http://tinyurl.com/335oxh
Keep barricades VSB+2: http://tinyurl.com/335oxh

Remember: OVERBARRICADING KILLS! Please think of others when barricading! Comments on the barricade plan should be made on the discussion page.

[edit] Enforcement Policy

Note: "VS" (or VS+2) refers to Very Strongly barricaded (plus 2 more successful barricade attempts). This is considered the maximum level a barricade can be raised to before survivors can no longer enter a building. "EH" refers to Extremely Heavily barricaded, the maximum level a barricade can be raised (i.e. maximum protection).

The Dulston Alliance enforces the barricade policy in Dulston. Survivors should be vigilant as to what group a survivor belongs to when they raise/lower a building's barricades, as they may be a member of the Alliance seeking to keep the building within policy standards. Members of the Alliance will always follow the enforcement policy detailed below.

[edit] For Buildings Marked "VS"

[edit] What to do when a "VS" building, tagged as "VS", is "EH"

  1. Knock down the barricades without hesitation until the barricade is "VS" (VS+2).
  2. Inform building residents of your actions and direct them to this policy.
  3. Recommend/direct building residents to other local "EH" buildings for them to use as safe houses.

[edit] What to do when a "VS" building is not tagged as "VS"

  1. Use spray paint to tag the building as "VS".
  2. Inform the residents that they have 24 hours before the policy will become enforced.
  3. After 24 hours, raise/lower the barricades to reflect policy.
  4. Inform building residents of your actions and direct them to this policy.

[edit] For Buildings Marked "EH"

[edit] What to do when an "EH" building, tagged as "EH", is "VS"

  1. Confirm all building residents have Free Running.
  2. If they all have Free Running:
    1. Raise the barricades to "EH" as soon as possible.
  3. If they all do not have Free Running:
    1. Inform building residents of your impending actions and refer to this policy.
    2. After 24 hours, raise the barricades up to "EH" reflect the policy.

[edit] What to do when an "EH" building is not tagged as "EH"

  1. Use spray paint to tag the building as "EH".
  2. Inform the residents that they have 24 hours before the policy will become enforced.
  3. After 24 hours, raise to "EH" the barricades to reflect policy.
  4. Inform building residents of your actions and direct them to this policy.

This policy was created by the DDDS. The D.D.D.S. is a member group of the Dulston Alliance. The original policy has been moved to Original DDDS DODD Plan, for historical reference.
