Description

Ellard Walk Junior High School after a Sinclair Renovation

Ellard Walk School construction started in April 1969, because there was simply no more room for students at Warfield Boulevard School. Construction finished in late June of 1970, in time for the 1970-71 school year. It opened as a K-8 school, with 9-12th grades covered by Warfield Blvd.

In 1983, Ellard Walk became strictly a junior high school, as K-6 classes were moved to the new Meeker Plaza Elementary School. The school received a major interior remodel in 1987, which lasted for 12 years.
