Forse Library

Description

The Forse Library is a imposing metal-and-glass building with arched windows, and is one of two libraries in the suburb of Williamsville. Upon entering the building you'll be greeted by a impressive impressionist sculpture and well-lit rooms for your reading pleasure.

Forse Library was constructed before the quarantine, in the late 1940s, and was designed and named after Forse Castle, the ancestral seat of the de la Forse family. The design was based on its sister facility, Sergeant Library, also located in the suburb of Williamsville. The same architect designed each buildings, and although they look similar the Forse was built later and has a much more efficient floorplan. In the years leading up to the fall of Malton, Forse was closed due to a lack of funding. The building was slated for destruction and a luxury hotel tentatively named Forse Palace was planned; little progress was made by the time the library was heritage-listed. This led to a government-funded plan to restore Forse to its original condition. Unfortunately Malton fell to the zombie outbreak and Forse was once again abandoned until the Communist Party of Malton took control, rehabilitated the building and used it as a transmitting facility for Radio Lenin.

Barricade Policy

Per the Williamsville Barricade Plan this building should be barricaded as highly as possible: Extremely Heavily Barricaded (EHB) (ideally EHB+4).
