If you're curious what's going on, the Great Suburb Group Massacre (GSGM) is a periodic maintenance task here on the wiki. Because the game is always changing and not everyone remembers to keep the wiki updated, the group lists (e.g. Pitneybank's list, which appears on the right side of the Pitneybank page) get cluttered with names of groups who aren't there any longer, either because they've moved on or have become inactive. The wiki is a resource that we need to work to keep up-to-date, so we're cleaning the lists up, and we could use your help.

We're in the process of contacting every single group that's added itself to the lists on the suburb pages. Unfortunately, our volunteer staff is very small and the number of groups is very large, so we're not able to hunt down forums for every group, let alone track down group members in-game for every group and ask them for a list of where their group operates. Please be sure to check your group's talk page for a message from us!

How do I reply to the GSGM post on our talk page?

If a GSGM volunteer just posted on your talk page, all you need to do is respond with a list of all of the suburbs in which your group is currently active (please note: we're only cleaning up outdated entries, so you'll still be responsible for adding your group to suburb pages where you wanted to be listed). If your group is also registered as having a radio frequency here on the wiki, we'll ask you to name the frequency that you are using. If we haven't heard back from you after one month, we'll change the message to indicate that you appear to be inactive from what we can see, and will clean up the suburb pages that mention you on the wiki. See the next section for what to do if that happens to you.

You guys said we were inactive and de-listed us

No worries! You're not in any trouble, and we're very sorry for the inconvenience we've caused you. Your group has been temporarily de-listed, but you are strongly encouraged to add yourself back to any suburbs in which you're active and/or to the radio frequency list if your group uses a particular frequency. We expanded our efforts to make groups aware of the GSGM this time around, as well as giving people more time to respond, but there will always be mistakes made in operations this large, so, once again, we're sorry for the inconvenience we've caused you.

What if I want to help out?

Awesome! We are seeking volunteers to help out on our Volunteer Page. We're currently waiting for groups to respond to us after we contacted all of them, so if you want to help out, we could definitely use it. If you're up for it, head over to our page and follow the instructions there.

What if I have other questions?

If you have a question that was not answered above, head over to our Questions page and a volunteer will get back to you as soon as we can!
