Description

Project Slash and Burn (P.S.B.)

The name Gulsonside Massacre is circulating these days. The term refers to the slaughter of over seventy civilians and the initial destruction of the suburb of Gulsonside, and the neighboring areas surrounding it. It was the result of a military operation luring the dead into Gulsonside.

History

The objectives were simple. Destroy the Nercotech lab in Gulsonside and eliminate all loose ends to Project Genesis. The actual application of this, however, was not so. By the end of the first day, the soldiers had cleared out most of the Suburb of Gulsonside, except for a few key buildings, namely the Allen Bank, and the Perryn Building. After Four failed attempts to successfully enter the lab, and after suffering unacceptable losses by the met resistance of the scientists, a new course of action was taken.

Within three days the troops had lured just under two hundred living dead to the area. Buildings were decimated, people were slaughtered and only bolstered their ranks. The lab fell almost immediately, leaving only the bank as the last refuge of the remaining survivors and the few scientists that still lived. The bank held out for two more days before reinforcements had finally arrived for the military. Two twenty man squads (Codenamed Alpha and Beta) moved in to eliminate the remaining resistance.

Seeing that they could no longer hold the bank from the ever increasing zombie and military threats. They decided to do the only thing they could. The exact number of survivors inside the bank at that time is unknown, but at least nine scientists did escape, as the survivors left the bank to fight in the streets as a distraction. Three of the remaining scientists were seen at Cagier Mall, of which, two have been found dead. Another three were eliminated just outside of Barrville by a roving group of vigilantes (PK'ers).

The locations of the four scientists that have evaded military and zombie force alike have been codenamed the Four Horsemen (Pestilence, War, Death, and Famine). They are to be immediately called in on 28.09 if found. This should ensure that the proper actions will be taken.

Current Status

Unfortunately, the zombie threat that has arisen is very likely due to the after effects of this exercise, bringing hundreds of zombies together in this particular suburb. Gulsonside has never recovered, becoming a Very Dangerous area with multiple operating Zombie clans.
