Founded on August 17, 2007, and restructured February 2, 2008, the New Jedi Order of Malton is dedicated to keeping the citizens of Malton safe and keeping the zombie hordes at bay. Oh, and bringing balance to the force and stuff like that of course.

History

Sensing a powerful disturbance in the force emanating from planet earth, Jedi Master Yoda and the rest of the Jedi council held a meeting to discuss said disturbance. After much deliberation, it was decided that such a massive disturbance could only be caused by a great "imbalance" and that this imbalance must be investigated and ended. The Council decreed that a team of 3 Jedi Knights, led by Master Casero, would travel to planet earth, uncover the cause of the disturbance, and report back to the Council. Yoda told Master Casero "Go to Earth you will. Find the cause of the disturbance you shall and report back to the Council at once you must."

Sadly, due to a faulty engine in the ship, the spacecraft carrying the 3 Jedi masters crashed in downtown Malton. Master Casero managed to survive; however, the rest of the crew were all lost and all methods of communicating with the Council were destroyed.

Master Casero wandered the streets of Malton, observing the zombie outbreak and fighting the undead. Having lost all hope of being rescued by the Jedi Council, Casero decided to begin recruiting Maltonians who were strong with the force in order to establish a Jedi Order within Malton to help combat the zombies.

Sadly the noble master's mission was doomed to fail. In the end the great jedi were defeated, leaving only one jedi master Malkovitch to lead what would come to be known as the New Jedi Order of Malton.

Recruitment Policy

All Maltonians are eligible for joining the Jedi Order of Malton. You need only contact Jedi Master Malkovitch for information. We even accept "Dark Jedis".

The Structure of the Order

The Order is led by Master Malkovitch and the Jedi Council. The Council consists of Malkovitch and the 1st two members to join the JOM. All decisions will be made by the Council.

Other's joining the group shall immediately be considered Jedi; however, they will hold the title of Apprentice or Padawan for some time before being declared a Jedi Master.

The JOM is not as highly organized as some of the other groups in Malton. The Order will be located within one specific suburb (unless of course the Order grows to a size sufficient enough to branch out into others).

Goals of the Order

We are currently operating in Shuttlebank.

  • Protect JOM HQ.
  • Protect the buildings immediately surrounding JOM HQ.
  • Work together with other groups as needed to protect Malton and its citizens.
  • Kill hostile zombies but attempt to make peace with the more intelligent ones.
  • Meditate.
  • Bring balance to the force.

This user or group supports the Sacred Ground Policy and acknowledges that all Cemeteries in the city of Malton are considered Revivification Points.

Opportunities for Advancement

Should the order reach sufficient size, members of the Order will be granted their own "enclaves" to protect and areas of operation. Should the group grow to 12 or more, each of the 3 Masters on the council will take control of a library, museum, or school and maintain a team of 3 to 5 Jedi Knights within that immediate area who will all work together in their specific area to make Malton safe.

One must be granted the title of "Master" before one will be given one's own "chambers."

Communication

The radio frequency of the JOM is to be determined.

JOM Philosophy and Law

1. Peace is desired above all else.

2. In Malton, peace is impossible at present.

3. Defend the HQ and your fellow Knights.

4. Do not engage in Pking unless the P being K'd really really deserves it.

5. Trust in the force and you will be free.

6. Provide assistance to Maltonians by distributing First Aid and helping them fight off zombies.
