"Well, we found this old radio in the back of a junkyard, so we figured we'd make regular broadcasts in case anyone was listening. Hey, if you're out there, this is the Dunell Hills Police Department. We've made a stand and we're going to hold out as long as possible. Maybe someone can record this. Maybe someone outside of Malton will come and rescue us. We'll be here, waiting... I hope." The Radio Transmitter currently exists in one of the undisclosed DHPD safehouses. A cache of fuel has provided enough energy for regular broadcasts throughout the day, although the wavelength is intermittently used by other survivors to check in, request information, and so on. DHPD Members are welcome to post, as is anyone else interested in contributing to the 'storyline'.

[edit] April 12th, 2008<Crackles> Hellooooo DHPD! DJ Crackwhore here with the ummm ... quarterly Extinction Zone Hour update broadcasting live from inside the DMZ's recently vacated Haraway NT. Today's special topic - Wasteland Cooking Recipes for the Protein Challenged featuring our guest Chef Dr'Brainz! An honour to have you here sir! And what's on the menu today? ...
Sorry Dr ... everyone quiet! Kill the lights!! ... yeh I see them ... <close mic> As we speak dear listeners there's a large mob of The Dead lurching past the open doors, looks like they're heading west towards Peddlesden in a hurry </close mic> ... you sure? Ok we're back on with Dr'Brainz of Extinction fame and his recipe for Wasteland Rump Stew ... you were saying Dr?
Wonderful, and I must say listeners it smells GREAT! What's the secret ingredient?
<slurping gulps> MMMM ... oh my Undead Gods!! You are a culinary GENIUS Dr'Brainz! This is simply the best meal I've had since that Stickling Beerhah Barbecue but yeah <mouth full> thif fah cob rumb stew <swallows> is gonna be way hard to beat. <cheering in background> Hey SillyLillyPilly's here! Long time no see, guys grab some chairs and TURN UP THA MUSIC it's FEASTING TIME! ... Huh? Bollocks to The Dead! Tonight we party for tomorrow we're Zed!! <cheers> <talks over party noise> Thanks to Dr'Brainz and the Extinction Harmanz Kitchen Corps this is DJ Crackwhore signing off and wishing you dear listener only the best! Wish you could be here ... Sayonara from the Extinction Zone til next time! <cheers and merriment in background> [edit] April 10th, 2008Ben here, again. I'm sitting in a ruined building near the fallen Caiger mall, waiting for orders. The Dead are still strong in numbers, but we've learned to adjust to this way of living, and the survivor population is on the rise. Hard to believe I haven't died through this entire undead campain. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Still, it's pleasing to see the strength of the survivors shining through; for every mall brought down, another rises from the ashes. The annihilation of a suburb hardly means anything these days. The moment the zeds spread out or move on to another target, it simply springs back up. Before I was just hoping, but now I'm confident: The Dead will not bring us down. They may be able to take any suburb through sheer numbers, but who cares? It's just like throwing a blanket of a shining light. The moment they look away, one quick tug and it's back to shining again. Anyway, enough of my rambling. I have a very important mission to undertake. These coolers of beer won't hide themselves in the ruins, after all. --Ben Charron 02:53, 11 April 2008 (BST) [edit] March 28th, 2008You know, even with the suvivor population so low, this isn't so bad. The more ruins there are in a burb right now, the easier it is to hide. I don't think the zeds will ever gain a total victory. --Ben Charron 20:16, 28 March 2008 (UTC) [edit] March 20th, 2008This was a triumph. I'm sticking a zed here. Rez success! It's hard to overstate my satisfaction~.
Necrotech science. We stick who we must, because, we can for the good of all of us... except for those rotter zeds!
But there's no use wasting my AP to 'cade Hiding out in ruins seems like quite a fair trade and the rezzing gets done, and I'll bring back everyone For the people who want to survive...
*groaning in background* Now don't get all angry... I just want to peeeek in heeere right now. Even though you broooke the 'cades and ruined it. Now where are those needles? I just need a few, I can, acquire my AP burns but iiiit's ok 'cause I can come back quickly, soon and the zeds in here are all sleeping this time and I ruin the flow with this terrible rhyme But I'm stocked now; time to go stick the zombies that I know for the people who want to survive!
[edit] March 14th, 2008...used this little recorder in a while. Hope it still works. *clears throat* This is Officer Charron. It's... sometime near the end of Winter. The snow melted a few weeks ago. The snow as nice though; it blanketed all the bodies and well... outta sight outta mind, I guess. *cough* But the bodies on the streets aren't the grimmest thing in Malton these days. The zeds... I don't know if they're just learning or if NecroTech is doin' something to them but... man... they're too much now. Our fortifications are crushed. Our tactics fall short. Our- *clang in background* *silence* A minute later I've taken shelter on a ruined office building, but I don't know how long I can stay here. Heh, it's funny really. Over the years in service in the DHPD I've always felt safe near the Hills, even when a large mob of smarter zombies overtook it for a while. It just seemed like a challenge of getting back the Hills. Now? Nowhere feels safe. Barricading just gets you unwanted attention. This... 'game' of endurance has reduced to cat and mouse. sigh What intel I gather from word of mouth says there are less and less survivors every day. Unless the military have been letting people slide out the quarantine, that's definitely not a good thing. So many suburbs are in ruins now. Is anywhere safe anymore? I don't think so. Many people have given up trying at this point. I see veteran zombie hunters drinking in dark corners, waiting to die. Heh, if only I had that option. Unfortunately for me, as long as there are people still struggling to live, and as long as I wear this badge I don't have that luxury. I must continue to help these people. I have to continue to fight. If not out of compassion or self-preservation, then out of duty. Has the battle been lost? Yes, it has. The war? I'm not sure at this point. But I'll fight on, with the help of my fellow officers, our allies, and my friends. I don't know if we'll win, but at the least, we'll be a damn stubborn kill. Charron out. --Ben Charron 21:52, 16 March 2008 (UTC) [edit] February 18th, 2008This is Banks, the tower is up and we're able to broadcast again; To any DHPD officers... we have secured the beer... I repeat! we have secured the beer!!! Rally at Checkpoint Booze, Over... --Marty Banks (aka. Mundane) <DHPD> 21:23, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] October 19th, 2007Members of DHPD, we are fast approaching our second Founding Day, Nov. 1st. I'd like everyone to stop back by the comms and say a word. Let Malton know we're still here at work day and night. Let them know we welcome all survivors and will stand against or outmanuever the hordes as needed. Hey everyone... This is banks... I'd like to ask all DHPD that can read me... for a moment of silence on this day... To remember those who died in the World Trade Center on that horrific day six years ago ...................................................................................................... Thank You All, May We never forget what happened that day. Marty Out. --Marty Banks (aka. Mundane) <DHPD> 17:46, 11 September 2007 (BST) [edit] September 3, 2007*Crackles ... "..on't give a rat's whatsit if he wants to play or ...ard enuf stayin alive as it is without them hangin round attracting ferals" ... silencio* Hellooo Malton and our dear friends in the DHPD, or is that HELL Malton? Yes this is your dear friend DJ Crackwhore with the NTJunkies weekly ... errrr ... quarterly Extinction Zone Hour. Anyways great to be back and reporting from deep within the Extinction Zone, been awhile but things, as you may have noticed, have been a bit crazy lately. What with the collapse of Caiger Mall and the devastation of the DMZ, like you we spend most of our time trying to get revived. At least we've got that in common. And these are interesting times indeed, I think survivordom in general is slowly getting the message don't you? United you may stand a chance of surviving: Divided you have already fallen. I'd just like to take a moment here to get all close and personal with our dearest friends in the DHPD, you know who you are. We truly wish you only the best ... if only you'd help us stop the revives! All you are doing is keeping the vicious Malton cycle going whereas if we all band together against those who seek to divide us we can finally bring PEACE TO MALTON IN OUR TIME! And on that note of brother and sisterhood I'll leave it to Enargeia to take us out with this little number from their social libertarian album available at the revamped Barhah Mall Zombie Music Store ... get undead, shamble on down there and tell em the Crackwhore sent you for a 10% discount! Here it is, appropriately, from the Gulag.
You are about to learn a lesson that the DHPD learned long ago...and as far as Winning or the total destruction of the DHPD to do that you would have to get every single badge--as long as one of us survives the DHPD lives. You have been around for maybe 8 months and you really are not the first group to claim to have destroyed the DHPD (and im sure not the last) but yet we are still here, im not impressed. Move your forces west, the east and the south grows stronger. keep going east ? the back to school sales are awesome this time of year. One last thing you should have learned before attacking us...being in the DHPD means much more than protecting Dunell Hills you will now reap what you have sown...... --Jeff Oneil 20:28, 3 September 2007 (BST)
[edit] September 1,2007A special message for the RDHG--I know the DHG, I have fought beside him and you sir are no DHG--just a another dick-- my guess hiding in the forts with the others who thought it best to cut and run. This goes out to the DEM, the Rangers, the C4NT, the CMS-meta, Stars and everyone else who can here this Now is the time we band together and show them we will not go gentle into the night One more thing I dont think we have met oh but we will-Soon you will now reap what you have sown...... --Jeff Oneil 21:56, 2 September 2007 (BST) [edit] August 30, 2007you will now reap what you have sown......what once was shall be" [edit] August 26, 2007"I'm holed up in an NT building... one of the few still operating, from the looks of things. Psychophill (the 2L's) the nerve of him to come to the precinct and shoot me up! I so wish I had a bigger posse here at Cotty and hunt him down myself. PK'ers have been spotted near the Cotty area and around the Stephens General Hospital area. Those who have the AP should investigate! 10/4 --Rubix41 00:57, 8 July 2007 (BST) OfficerButler Rubix41, i'll head over to Cotty as soon as I can. [edit] July 06, 2007Rubix41 With the large contingent of zeds outside Dury, it may be prudent to suggest a kill team be assigned to removing the numbers. The good thing is that the numbers of zeds in the tri-state have thinned in concentration meaning all we have to do is focus on Dury. 10/4 --Rubix41 11:34, 6 July 2007 (BST) [edit] July 05, 2007Rubix41 We have a confirmed sighting of Reetoric at Caiger Mall, Upper North West Corner. Although we haven't got any officers nearby that I know of, there is cause for investigation. After all, stocking up at Caiger for ammo when CR'd could cause us much damage. 10/4 --Rubix41 10:46, 5 July 2007 (BST) [edit] July 04, 2007Rubix41 *OFF CHARACTER* I am thinking of a DHPD podcast for all our officers, allies and, yes, our villans for the Dunnel Hills area. Just a general feed for the area, such as zeds, verbal EITS or weather report , birthdays and general Q and A section! What does everyone think? [edit] June 30, 2007Pvt Vukov This is Pvt Vukov speaking from Bunter Street Police Department in Peddlesden Village. We are under-staffed and nearly overrun by zeds. Send assistance fast. Over and out. --Pvt Vukov 11:55, 30 June 2007 (GMT) Rubix41 Man, Bunter is understaffed? What happened there? Anyway, I've heard you got a new healing outfit in the area so all you need really are a kill-team! Any takers!--Rubix41 00:03, 5 July 2007 (BST) [edit] June 22, 2007Rubix41 OfficerButler, this is Chief Rubix41, Cotty Police Dept. Please refer to the Cotty Street Police Department Page[1] - meanwhile, if you are without free running, please move towards the Heal Museum and hold up there. Since we are short-staffed, we are unable to facilitate a precinct presence at Cotty but, if you wish to join, please drop me a line on my contact line [2]. If I have more officers at Cotty, I will be able to keep it VS+2. Also, someone, get that darn graffiti off the walls! Mothertruckers! Chris! long time no see! The zeds are tenacious, right? We are a bit cramped at the moment but we look forward to your updates! 10/4 --Rubix41 09:19, 22 June 2007 (BST) [edit] June 21, 2007Chris Retnam -fizzle-pop- Hello? Anyone out there remember me? It's Chris Retnam. I've been gone a long time--I got gnawed on and just laid down and didn't get up. Listen, I'm in Havercroft, and things are getting really grim here. We were doing so well... There are rotters laying about in the revive points, and our barricades are dissolving. The worst, though, is that in a span of about 20 minutes, Ackland's NW corner went from having 2 zeds outside it to--ah, bleep! -crunch-crack- Hang on, DHPD, I'm moving to another building. -fzzt- -pzrrtbleep- Okay, I'm back. They just took the police department. God help those 30 or so survivors sleeping in there. I came across a crate of batteries, so I should be good to keep you updated. I'm going to watch and listen for now... Retnam OUT. Don't get barg'd. OfficerButler Listen, Cotty Street Police Department has been completely barricaded. I cannot enter the building! God, I've got to locate a safehouse before I pass out and go to sleep! I repeat, Cotty Street Police Department has been completely barricaded. [edit] June 20, 2007Rubix41 How hard is it to get one of those gens and transmitters up and running? Those damn GK'ers... OfficerButler Jesus, somebody changed the spray painted words in the Cotty Street Police Department. It now says "When you die make sure it hurts". Did we change it? [edit] June 17, 2007Rubix41 Keeping the eyes on the Hills and on it's citizens, we at the DHPD are looking out for you! If you have any thing you want to ask us, please say so here! Or drop into a station and say hi to the boys and girls of the DHPD! We are always recruiting too!
[edit] June 15, 2007Hello, Dunell Hills! It must have been a while since I've last made a transmission using this radio that we have, way back before the whole of Malton had radio access. When was that, Christmas? -snap-crackle-pop- Don't mind me there, just found myself a muesli bar cache in this building. It's simply amazing what this city holds even after we've been here for this long. What's to report? Let me see. -sound of paper flipping- Right, first off, unless you don't already know, Extinction has left the DMZ en masse and have migrated for sunnier sands up in Dakerstown! They're having a ton of fun up there, from what I hear, taking it on with The Crimson Clan -frizzle- and a whole lot of other groups. Can't say we miss them totally, what with all the clawing day and night that we had to endure for the past two months, but we're out a little stronger, I can tell you that! Redecorations are currently underway, and the lockdown is over. So if you're planning to party in Club Meade and Veal, come on down now while you still can! We've got DJ Mundane (aka Marty Banks) doing his thing on Wednesday and Friday nights and Phil's got his Pin-the-bullethole-on-the-feral-after-you've-had-quite-a-few-beers game going on over the weekend. -hiss- We're still having a bit of trouble over in the Village north of the Hills, and particularly that in Bunter Street Precinct. Some zombies just don't know when to play dead! That's all for now, and borrowing from Ron Burgundy, Valhalla bless his soul, Stay Classy, Malton! --Marcus Payne, 16 June 2007, 12:58 GMT [edit] June 14, 2007Rubix41<DHPD> To all our citizens! Consider these to be armed and dangerous and to be terminated on the spot. Especially the enigmatic one xXSpoonXx. Also, let's all try to find some clothes...apparently, we've all been fighting the zed scum as naked apes. If I am going to take down those undead persona's, I will be wanting some threads...although Chief BAM has gone into hiding ever since I have found out about the naked factor. 10/4 [edit] May 30, 2007Rubix41<DHPD> What now? *click* You sure? * muffled whispers* All right, all right...*ahem* Ground Control to Major Tom...Ground control to Major Tom...check your ignition...engines...*pauses for emphasis* ON...Wait a sec, that's not a karoke mike! *muffled rumbling and then click*

[edit] March 16, 2007My Fellow DHPDers, Allies and Friends It was bad enough that Survivors were Nerf-ed by the Majority of the updates over the last year... It's Bad enough that Zeds have been immune to most of Kevan's anti-zerging measures while legitimate players operating out of universities have been pwned... It's Bad enough that cheaters like Max can get away with Zerging their asses off while people like Me, DHG, Ron Burgundy and any other survivor leader that puts together good ops gets tagged as a Zerg... Now, Extinction is using automated techniques and tactics to maintain control of NTs and other resource buildings... I have purposefully been silent for a while because I just haven't had the heart to deal with this BULLSHIT with all the personal crap that has gone on in my life over the last 6 mos, but I have been playing... And I even orchestrated a number of people who had given up the game to come back to play for a bit to see if a difference could be made... It is obvious the game has been broken by a number of enterprising individuals, and unless serious changes are made to the current Status quo, things are not going to get any better.... Therefore.... I, and anyone I can convince should cease and desist all activities ASAP. I don't have any problem getting beat in a game fairly but there seems to be serious activities that have taken survivors off the same scale as Zombies some time ago... I f Kevan wants to save this game he's going to have to do some serious rework of the mechanics and stiffen the anti-zerg measures to stop manipulators like Max and his ilk from exploiting the system... Having followed the smells of potent alcohol across Dunell Hills, I found myself face down in a cemetary. Mustering my strength of will, I arose and sought out help inside a nearby safe house, which I shall call TwoDoba. Twodoba is very safe, especially as all the zombies are attacking caiger about an hour's walk north of here. Production of mind altering beverages is on hold until I can raid some piping from the auto shop next door, but fear not, for shortly I shall resume production of Idiot's Beer. I am very low on ammo, but I have a full tool kit. Now just to find some expensive art! Rockphed out at 19:00. [edit] March 5, 2007"This is tarrok krey, former officer and liason of the dhpd. i am under orders to be here by my supieor and look forward to fighting directly beside the dhpd once more. Absolutely Nothing! *ahem* Rally squads! To arms! Let's load up with us much ammo and waste them! So, yes, zeds, you have war and, goood gawd, it's good. I love the smell of burning zeds, it smells...smells...smells like victory! A little like wet dog but victory nevertheless! 10/4 [edit] February 8th, 2007Rubix41 With the falling snow, the zeds are still numerous. Some are all too particular, such as Retoric, predictable, etc. Some, Count Zergula, etc, plain and stupid. Either way, with the sound of the Mall fallen down and the dead smell of zeds in the air, we have to ask, does the Creator HATE all human survivors? If not, why does he make the world the survivors live in so tough? With the zombies being so many, the need for more survivors to overcome them is necessary. By increasing their boldness, strenghth and their power, one can only say that there will be more survivors. [edit] January 27th, 2007Rubix41 Lots of zeds inside the Dury Building. Reetoric and Mad Marv are sighted there. Reportings of similar sounding zeds are also in the area, it may be prudent to get someone to look into the zeds that are encroaching around Dunnel Hills. 10/4 [edit] January 20th, 2007PrivateJones Five zeds outside the Dury Building. Barricades were at heavily barricaded. I did about 30 HP of damage on one before I retreated back to the Broadbelt Grove department because of my shortage of ammo and AP. [edit] January 17th, 2007Rubix41 All members of the DHPD in the Cotty area and Peddleston Village are to be aware of the frank and downright stupidity of the Predators announcing themselves in the area. The infamous PK'ing group are to be terminated on sight, NEVER REVIVED and, on top of that, hunted down to make sure they are not to come back EVER AGAIN. If you are reading Predators, this is the polite version: you're not welcome here. 10/4
PrivateJones Private Jones here... its been a long time since I last reported in with the DHPD, but I am revived and ready to return to duty! If you aren't a free runner, that's not a problem, we have plenty of nice solid buildings around the area and with a solid unit of officers patrolling them, we will serve and protect! We are looking for a medic to occupy the hospitals above and relay some health goodies to all and sundry too, so if you know someone, leave a message here or come see me at Cotty PD! 10/4 The George W Have been revived and are now looking for two people who recently killed me. Have taken out Another Loner, who killed me about three days ago. Have found Hell's Agent and will strike tomorrow. If any jobs need doing, I'll be happy to help. [edit] January 10th, 2007The George W Since turning a new leaf, I have been killed twice. Once by Another Loner and once by Hell's Agent. I managed to catch up with Hell's Agent but ran out of AP. These guys don't belong to a group but they are pissin' me off big time. Could Conndraka possibly put up a warrant. Am at Tasker Park, awaiting a revive. Cheers. Conndraka Its going to be a bit for people to get the word you are reforming... just return to DHPD revive points and we'll get you taken care of. Gold Star Well, much as it pains me to give credit to a confessed criminal, I have to give it to XxSpoonxX. At least he was a stand-up guy about it. And George W, nobody ever said it was easy being a good guy. Quite the opposite, in fact. Good luck. Rubix41 XxSpoonxX has made his choice - criminal or not - he is still one of mine. And, true, though he is a PK'er, if he ever reforms, the position of Cotty Prosecutor is still his. The fact he's replyed to us and has given us a heads up on the situation shows the qualities I look for in joining DHPD. I salute you XxSpoonxX and no hard feelings if you get a couple of pistol shots by the DHPD's finest or a survivor with a revengous streak. If you want to talk to me about anything at anytime XxSpoonxX, you know where to come. 10/4 [edit] January 9th, 2007[XxSpoonxX] Good evening DHPD. This is your friendly local PKer, XxSpoonxX, here to deliver a series of important messages to whom it may concern. To start off I’d like to extend my deepest thanks to Chief Rubix41 for his continual friendly nature and professional behavior. In addition, I’d like to thank him for his generous offer of service to the DHPD. The gaming world could use a couple more Rubix’s in my opinion. Unfortunately, after much deliberation, I have decided to remain a PKer. However I feel some words are in order. First of all, contrary to what Conndraka has stated, I never “committed” to changing my ways. In Conndraka’s defense however I did show interest in working with the DHPD initially, so I apologize for any confusion this may have caused. I also stated that I was “sure we [rubix, DHPD, and I] could work something out”, however this certainty was soon thrown into check. This however still leaves the question of why. Why? Why kill innocent players, why live building to building, why not strive to survive the way some people play? The answer simply is this: in addition to having a hard time keeping up with highly organized game play, I find PKing to be not only extremely fun, but quite easy in it's nature. It’s just a feeling of supremacy that yes, is ultimately as satisfying as arm wrestling a 4th grader, but still oddly good. In addition to this I’m on a personal quest to become known by every single player in the game, be it as a hero or villain (at this point probably villain). The way I see it is that the honest PKer (non-cheating) has become sort of the villain everyone loves to hate. Sure I might cap you one day, in the middle of some master plan you’re working on, but how great is it the next time you find me? I extend an offer to anyone who truly hates PKers: Give me your name and I won’t lay a finger on you (unless in self-defense, or vengeance). If you truly do not wish to embrace this aspect of the game, I can respect that. However this is how I have chosen to play, and thankfully urban dead is a game that embraces individual’s playing styles. In closing I say this; as a show of good sportsmanship to the DHPD, I leave Cotty now and give my word to not PK anyone until the 11th. This hopefully will give anyone in Cotty or the surrounding area time enough to make any adjustments to plan or formations my temporary amnesty may have changed. With highest regards, this is XxSpoonxX saying goodnight, and good hunting. PS. Thanks again for the present on the Wanted list :D Its always nice to see my name in print.
[edit] January 8th, 2007[rubix41] This is Chief Rubix41. For current purposes, XxSpoonxX is now considered to be on probabtion status. He is under my protection and, provided he doesn't shoot anyone after this point, under my custody HE IS NO LONGER TO BE TARGETED FOR WARRANTS FOR THE TIME BEING. 10/4 What? Hoping to start a retaliation attack around Cotty but I need to get the pieces into place first! [edit] January 3rd, 2007[The George W]- "Ah, days don't come much better than this. I have killed three today all in the same place. Security really should be tighter. Any old PKer like me could just walk in. I am posting here to clean things up between DHPD and I. I kill those that have sustained injury and one of your memebers happened to be one of them. I should also point out that the three poor souls that I killed were not DHPD memebers. I have plans. I would like a 'showdown' if you like. Conndraka, a battle. I may be just a insignificant PKer but surely you'd be happier if I weren't killing your members and allies. Conndraka, at 8:00pmGMT Friday 5th to Sunday 7th, I'll be at the Hippesley Building, Molebank. I would be privilaged to if we could have a duel. However, it will be in constant surveilance, so if anyone else arrives, I run or I kill them with a click of my mouse. If you win, then I will not return to DHPD inhabited areas. If you don't show up, then I kill more and more until we can come to another arrangment. Type 'The George W' on the UD Wiki and post there. If Conndraka doesn't read this then could a faithful member inform him. I'll be looking forward to it. Have a happy 2007.
