It seems you've found a small, notebook laptop with a webcamera in it. As soon as you turn it on, you see a shortcut on the menu labeled 'Vince's Journal'. Curious, you click on it, and after a time period so long you almost turn off the computer in disgust, windows media player pops up and starts playing a video of a young boy.

He can't be more than fourteen years old, and he's clearly been crying recently. His hair has been buzzed off, and there are a number of stitches and even a staple on his head. He's dressed up a green hoodie that's covered in pockets. There are people talking in the background, he appears to be in a boarded up shopping centre.

When he finally speaks, his voice is dry and cracked.

"Hi, I'm Vince. Vince Ulster. I'm keeping this journal in case Mom and Dad find it. They were supposed to pick me up at the hospital a while ago, but then people started eating each other, and they never came, so..."

He sniffles and wipes his nose on his sleeve.

"So, yeah. I was in the Barbara General, but there were bodies everywhere and the cafeteria ran out of food, so I tried to walk home, but I didn't know the way and I got lost, and now I'm at the Caiger Mall, and all these people are in here, too, they let me in once I jumped onto the roof. I found a radio and some clothes and some really cool binoculars and a crowbar and a hockey stick. I tried to hit one of the crazy people with the crowbar, but it was really heavy and I couldn't swing right, so I think I'm going to just stay away from them for right now. I'm going to try to call Mom and Dad with someone's phone, and see if they can come pick me up."

He reaches towards the webcam, and the view cuts out.

The next video seems to take place in a hotel. There's boarded up window covered with a cabinet behind Vince, who is now wearing an olive green welding jumpsuit and thick leather boots. "Um, hey. Caiger mall got swamped before I could find a phone, so I'm heading over to Calvert to see if there's anybody else there. There's a man here named Suge, and he says the crazy people need to get hit in the head or they get right back up, so I'm practicing on cans. I guess that's it. Goodnight."
