Well, I've started my work at the Derby Campus.

It's not too bad, all in all. The other students are nice and polite, and they look out for you. The lead insructor, Ralph, seems like a decent guy. And he has a sword, which is always cool. Today, I just patrolled the suburb like I used to do in Rhodenbank, patching people up where I could. I'm not good enough to kill zombies yet, but I'm gonna get round to getting some lessons off the other students.

Other than that, nothing to report. Looks like Heytown isn't so bad after all...

I'm in Heytown.

I've not contacted the Campus yet, but I'm meaning to. My moblie's been dead for a bit, but it's working now. I'll try one of the instructors after I write this.

Crossing Malton wasn't fun, paticularly Rolt Heights. The whole suburb is in chaos. I could haer screams and shouts, plus the gunshots and groans. The worst bit, though, was when I heard some woman pleading, begging. A laugh following this, then a scream. Then nothing. I just kept running, leaping over the rooftops.

Still, I'm here now. No sense in dwelling on what's happened. The barricades are good, here, so I should be safe. Quite a lot of buildings are overrun with the undead, but I should be okay. I'll have the MFD and the MPD recruits to help me out, soon. The DEM guys I've met so far have been great. Kind, friendly, helpful. Just nice in general.

Anyways, I'm gonna try one of the instructors now. Frankie, signing off.

So no zombies broke in last night. How lovely.

I finally got taught how to do Free Running today, too. This big army guy saw wandering about the streets, and started giving me a lecture about how it "wasn't safe" and that I should be Free Running. I got so annoyed at him that I yelled "If it's so -explicit edited out- important, why don't you -explicit edited out- TEACH me?!!" At this he smiled, and said, "Alright."

So I can Free Run. I'm still not great (I've hurt both ankles twice in one day, and I've given myself several bruises!), but hey, I don't need to wander about outside anymore. Good. Now the zombies can't chase me about!

Other than that, I'm moving to the Derby Campus tomorrow. Time to say goodbye to Rhodenbank. Shame, really. It's a nice suburb. Ah well, maybe I'll head back after my training.

Night!

13th April, 2007

Well, I found this old book, so I thought I'd keep track of what I've been doing for the next while.

All quiet in St. Marks hospital just now. There's serious trouble in Rolt Heights just now, though. People getting killed randomly, and nobody can do much about it. Thank God I'm not there!

I'm gonna be heading to the DEM's Derby Campus next week to start my training. As soon as I get taught how to do Free Running. I've seen people doing it, leaping across buildings and roofs. Looks crazy, but hey, it sure beats walking along the streets! I dunno how bad the Derby Campus is, zombiewise, but I'm guessing there's enough zombies to create a challenge for the students.

Ah well, I've fixed up a few people who were dying on the streets, and brougfht them back here. Not much else I can do.

Night!
