5/20/2009 You are inside Kebby Way School. Half-finished work is scattered across the floor. The building has been extremely heavily barricaded. Also here are Kenny Matthews (50HP), TPSU Sergeant (50HP) and Ribbi (60HP).A portable generator has been set up here. It is out of fuel, and connected to a powered-down radio transmitter. One of the classrooms has been decorated with a fire-damaged painting, an impressionist sculpture, a glass globe and two African paintings.Somebody has spraypainted http://tinyurl.com/Peepkill onto a whiteboard.--Dr Mycroft Chris 05:26, 21 May 2009 (BST)

History

The two-story brick building was erected in 1966 and housed grades K though 8. The school was often the subject of local newspaper articles due to the massive overcrowding and poor conditions present there due to lack of funds. The media furor reached a height when the school was closed for a month due to rat infestation. Parents who could afford the tuition often elected to send their children to the nearby private school on McNally Crescent instead. This school was the home of an impressive computer lab and 100% organic hot lunches, but saw much greater causalities during the first outbreaks due to the belated discovery that the now-diseased Kebby Way rats had found a new home there.

The building remains structurally intact but sorely lacks the excitement and bustle that characterized it while it was still in use. The floors are covered by hastily abandoned books and assignments and several whiteboards have become hotspots for delinquents with spraycans.

Significance

The school was once home to a ragtag group of survivors who engaged in various colorful antics, including (but not limited to) building barricades with volleyball nets and squeaky toys, the destruction of the school's staircases, shopping trips, shouting matches, mutism, flashbacks, avoiding serial killers, drug addiction and Greek wrestling.

Until quite recently, the school was the home of Headneck Headquarters. Headneck had found the school vacant and moved right in. He restored the staircases and fixed the place up quite a bit. Though it bore the tag of Headneck Headquarters, anyone willing to fight the good fight was welcomed. Headneck was usually found in his favorite chair or on the roof, throwing empty beer bottles at zombies. He had tried to make the best out of the situation in Malton and usually offered safe haven to any passers by.

However, Headneck has now joined up with a group and has left the school to his peers. The school was left in good hands, but it sure as hell isn't as cool as it once was.
