Kempsterbank is a suburb of Malton, located in the south of the city. Since October 2005, a group of concerned citizens known as the Kempsterbank Neighbourhood Watch, have been trying to organize safe havens for survivors in the suburb. In June 2006, the Knights Templar also started work towards the safety, defense, and revival of the living population in the area. And most recently in August of 2007, Detulux Inc has migrated to the suburb to fill their new warehouse complex with weapons for zombie defense.

Recently the suburb, along with the rest of Malton, has gone through a painstakingly long rebuilding and only during the last week of March 2008 has progress been visible. The assailants laying claim to the destruction were a shambling zombie horde from the northeast, known as The Dead, some thousand strong in early March of 2008. Most all buildings are barricaded though usually empty, and power is maintained in strategic buildings.

Kempsterbank could use the dedicated radio frequency of 26.19 MHz, which serves the "SE-4" grouping of suburbs - East Grayside, Hollomstown, Kempsterbank, West Grayside and Wyke Hills, but instead most all radio transmitters in the suburb are normally tuned to 27.55 MHz, along with the NE corner of Pole Mall.

Kempsterbank has a (currently non-UBP) barricade plan.

External Military: "... a couple of dozen in Kempsterbank ... mostly just small groups ... a lot of buildings with lights on ... infrastructure looks intact ... the Dobbs Building is being held ..."

Another broadcast from the eyes in the sky, and it only serves to paint a safer picture of Kempsterbank's recovery. JD 05:55, 22 May 2008 (BST)

External Military: "... thirty or so in Kempsterbank ... maybe a dozen outside the Jillard Building ... a lot of buildings with lights on ... can't see a single ruined building ... power's on at the Dobbs Building ..."

That pretty much sums it up. Not a lot to report, just a few overbarricaded entry points and although many buildings have power, a fraction of those have power. Other than the relatively light seige of Jillard this 'burb is pretty secure. JD 18:10, 21 May 2008 (BST)

Jillian NT building is currently being attacked by a horde of 19 zombies. I barricaded it back from lightly to EHB but assistance needed before barricade is torn down again and the zombies comes into the building. ---Jude Chavel 10.24pm, 19 May 2008 (CST)

  • May 17th

External Military: "... about sixty in Kempsterbank ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... several buildings with power ... only a few buildings damaged ... the Dobbs Building is operational ..."

Things continue to get better as both NTs are powered, Pole Mall is also back in action which probably helping speed the recovery. And the thanks most probably lie with the resident group's determination to keep the suburb's head above water, as well as outside groups who have voluntarily come in and help clean up in the way of The Dead. But all is not yet safe enough to sleep on the curb yet, as as the military have reported, there are a few large groups trying to reverse the progress by survivors. Most of them concentrated around Jillard and the surrounding buildings, along with Titus General in the north end of the suburb. JD 03:30, 17 May 2008 (BST)

  • May 13th

External Military: "... reporting from Kempsterbank, I've got over a hundred active ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... a few buildings with lights on ... some minor structural damage ... the Jillard Building has fallen ..."

Well that begins to sum up the overall situation. In recent weeks the feral zombies have ruined resource building and then destroyed buildings commonly hiding survivors with the loss of a good number people, though many have been revived. Also Player Killers are hanging around and killing survivors although its not a complete rampage and might be a group war in a place where survivors are needed more than more dead bodies. And all is not lost either, several pockets of human resistance continue to fight back even going so far as to keep a couple buildings including at least one of the two NTs powered and safe, and until either side gets a boost in population, it'll continue to be the micro-apocalypse this game was meant to be. JD 01:00, 14 May 2008 (BST)

  • May 5th

Been a lot of hard fighting over the last few days, but overall the trend seems to lean in the survivor's favor. Many more buildings are being barricaded and staying barricaded, revive lines are being worked and cleared, and resource buildings are staying powered for longer and longer periods of time. But the place is still pretty dangerous, entry points can uncommonly often be found over barricaded and several buildings are still ransacked daily including some of the suburb's many hospitals. And with several groups appearing to lend aid, this 'burb is definitely on the road to full recovery. Lowering the danger level to just regular dangerous. JD 05:30, 5 May 2008 (BST)

External Military: "... over a hundred in Kempsterbank ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... no lights on down there ... most of the buildings are ruined ... the Dobbs Building is down ..."

Ten days after my last report of the complete ruining of the 'burb, External Military has summed it up pretty well, mostly ferals, and a hand full of barricaded buildings. - JD 01:30, 28 April 2008 (BST)

  • April 18th

Zombies have been steamrolling across the suburbs and Kempsterbank fell like many before it. Wouldn't try sleeping anywhere. Many survivors spoke of rallying in Pole Mall or further south if its already fallen. - JD 23:44, 18 April 2008 (BST)

  • April 13th

Finally made it to my groups HQ. A lot of people are holed up in the area, and Knights Templar seem to be locking down East Kemp. Bernerd PD only has 4 zombies still in it, I personally removed 5 dead bodies, and put a cap in one zombie. All the TRP's in Central Kemp are running, without power though. Someone needs to run through with a crap load of genny's and set them up. Otherwise, besides scattered groups (usually with <5) of zombies, Kemp is pretty much back in survivor hands. Recommended lowering warning level. -- BlackReaper 21:34, 13 April 2008 (BST)

External Military: "... over a hundred in Kempsterbank ... mostly just small groups ... a few buildings with lights on ... serious collateral damage ... power's on at the Dobbs Building ... the Jillard Building has fallen - repeat, the Jillard Building has fallen ..."--Scott Timewell 01:19, 11 April 2008 (BST)

I can attest that Kempster is totally destroyed. All I saw was zombies everywhere. I'm probably dead now, so good luck to anyone in the area. -- BlackReaper 22:43, 11 April 2008 (BST)

Looks like we may have spoken too soon, as now most all of Kempsterbank is ruined with no EHB buildings and few if any over Very Strong. There are only a couple large groups about 10 strong centering on central Kempsterbank. Updating map. JD 18:16, 1 April 2008 (BST)

External Military report: 25.96 MHz: "... nearly a hundred in Kempsterbank ... mostly just small groups ... a few buildings with lights on ... serious collateral damage ... power's on at the Dobbs Building ..." 00:29, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

The situation has turned around in Kempsterbank this week and the survivor efforts can be seen everywhere. From what is known from several survivor's accounts, after Pole Mall was recaptured, many of the holdout survivors, that till then had been hiding in ruined buildings and hastily recaptured junkyards, finally had a solid foothold to build up and out into Kempsterbank, and what can only be attributed to the time out of many idle zombies, only a core group of seemingly organized ferals remain in the the suburb with the occasional wandering feral remaining. Zombehs raided The Dobbs Building. There are 24 zombies inside, and 31 outside. There are also 17 zombies at the revive point 1NE of the Dobbs Building. --Richard Carner 00:42, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Barnerd Way PD has fallen to a horde of 30 to 40 zombies.--Agent Sandman 01:07, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Zombies apparently have a thing against Saints... St Matheos's Hospital, St Ferreol's Hospital, Titus General Hospital, Neot General Hospital are currently held by zombies. The other two hospitals are currently besieged. 100+ zombies in large mobs across the Northeast of the suburb.--David Miscarriage 05:23, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Zombie groans everywhere, no survivors in sight. More than 30 zombies in the Jillard Building. The goons are here. Upgraded to Very Dangerous.--Kingofallpie 03:07, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Most buildings in the NW sector of Kempster' have been trashed, as well. The zombie incursion appears serious enough to update the danger level to Dangerous. --WanYao 02:04, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Julie General is down in the last hour.--Agent Sandman 01:48, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

the Jillard Building in ruins. 19 zeds inside 7 out. A few small groups of zeds on the adjacent buildings. Total zeds in the immediate area looks to be around 50 with at least 10-15 of them most likely waiting for rez. At least one rotter at Ebbutt Road. Still many buildings with power however, looks like we are getting an organized push into this burb.--MidniteScavenger 00:55, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Julie General Hospital, the one next to the the Jillard Building, has 20 zed inside. And if MidniteScavenger is correct on the zombie count, I am going to update this to moderate. Thia means there are around 70 zeds in th area. and I am guessing that it will be dangerous very shortly. --ChiaPet 20:46, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
48 zombies in Ebbutt road, better go to revive fast.
  • March 1st

I am happy to report that this area is pretty safe. There are 13 zombies that are not standing at a revive point. They are all scattered and pose not much of a threat. But there are 27 zombies standing at the two official revive points, Ware Walk (7 zombies) and Ebbutt Road (20 zombies). St. Luke's Church cemetery also had one zombie in it, and all cemetries are technically revive points. The small siege at the Jillard Building was won by the survivors. I set up a generator and fueled it as well. I saw no ransacked buildings and also saw tons of buildings with power. I am updateing to safe but if someone objects, feel free to change it.--ChiaPet 23:14, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
