Ketchelbank is a suburb of Malton, located to the north of the city centre, and is home to the City Zoo, which occupies a 4x5 block section of Northwestern Ketchelbank.

Ketchelbank is located in a shallow valley which was once the destination of small streams throughout the area. The semi-swamp that resulted has moist, unstable soil which makes for a poor building area.

Despite having what was probably Malton's most popular tourist attraction, Ketchelbank made rather little profit from tourism. As amusing as the city zoo always was, it rarely kept visitors entertained long enough for them to stay in the area overnight. As such, only three Motels were operating in the suburb at the time of infection.
