Basic Info:

  • These currently have no purpose, but eventually may make the whole city powered instead of having to plant running portable petrol-powered generators in each building to be powered. Tagging it earns 1 XP with the Tagging skill.
  • There are two power stations in the city: Krinks (2x2 block square) and Tolman (two blocks).

[edit] Description

Krinks Power Station is a four-block building located in the suburb of Williamsville in the south of the city and is one of the two defunct power stations in Malton. It was originally owned and operated by Malton Power and Light prior to the outbreak, but these days is often abandoned, despite its ideal location as a Base Of Operations. For now, the South West Corner of Krinks Power Station is the home of Zombie Juice, a survivors group, and the Communist Party of Malton occupies the South East Corner of the station.

Barricade to EHB (Williamsville Barricade Plan)

[edit] History

March 11th 2008 There has been at least one break-in recently, and some GKing. Are these just the first squalls before the main storm hits? Time will tell.

December 24th 2007 The Communist Party of Malton set up their HQ in the station after moving from Crooketon.

November 30th, 2007 Ransacked and extremely barricaded? How does this work? Well, free running isn't working any more. --User:Elden

November 2nd, 2007 15 Zeds standing on the NE corner, but the whole building is EHB, and fully powered. Let us pray for that "Big Bashers" to pass by our quietly and lovely Williamsville. --ZombieJuice 14:42, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

October 7th, 2007 NE corner of Krinks is now repaired and back to EHB, not because of the members of Zombie Juice ¬¬... --ZombieJuice 02:45, 8 October 2007 (BST)

October 4th, 2007 The Williamsville Horde of Organized Zombies has killed, ransacked, and ruined part of Krinks Power Station. --Secruss 20:12, 7 October 2007 (BST)

August 17th 2007 Zombie Juice (NOT a zombie group!!) has established in the Krinks Power Station, and welcomes all the survivors of this apocalypse a round of... Zombie Juice! =D (NOT for becoming zombie!). --ZombieJuice 04:30, 17 August 2007 (BST)

June 26th 2007 Drama Club staged a performance of "Army of Darkness" at Krinks Power Station as part of their Border Tour of Malton. The group plans to travel clockwise around the border suburbs of Malton with one show in each suburb. Today they performed for the four survivors here as part of this tour. See their group page for performing groups and schedules.

June 2, 2007 As of this writing, there are currently no standing zombies outside of Krinks whatsoever. There are a few dead bodies in each square, but nothing severe; we're still safe. A few more survivors have rallied to the power station, providing each and every section of the 2x2 building with a running, fully fueled generator. All barricades are @ EHB(+2). It looks like Krinks is re-opened for business/safehousing! --Jonathan Davis

May 28, 2007 I've just arrived at the power plant, ending a day and a half trek from Giddings Mall in Pitneybank to here. The building might as well be condemned; it's entirely empty, the top two sections had no barricades, and there's ~15-20 zombies outside. I barricaded the area back up, top left @ EHB+2 and top right @ VS+2. I'll be caretaking the power plant for a while, if nobody minds... Yeah, didn't think so. --Jonathan Davis

May 9, 2007 Knock knock. Anyone home? Krinks appears abandoned. --Target Zombie 19:05, 9 May 2007 (BST)

April 10, 2007 No zeds, all VS+2 or higher. how do you get rid of that sign up there? =P

April 4, 2007 Only a few zeds around but the suburb is a ghost town. No one to rebarricade and to hold the power station.

January 14, 2007 The battle of Krinks Power Station is coming to a close with a Human victory in site.

January 13, 2007 Zombies break-ins are frequent now. The battle of Krinks Power Station started a couple of days back.

December 3, 2006 The Krinks Mafia appears to have taken over the power station from the previous holders, SWERT, along with nearby buildings.

May 18, 2006 The Pitman Pitbulls temporarily occupy the power station as their summer vacation home. They should be here for several weeks before returning home. Stop by and have a beer. Unless you're a zombie, then stop by and have a head shot.

June 10, 2006 The Pitman Pitbulls return home to Quarlesbank after a relaxing vacation. We would like to thank the locals for their hospitality. If you are ever up north stop by for a visit.

[edit] Current Status

Fully 'caded and lit as of 28 June.
