Lexicon:Authorities Struggle to Bring city Under Control

With this new mysterious disease causing panic amongst the general populace, the city's authorities have stepped up efforts to contain this disease. So far, the center of the city, with its dense population, has helped spread the disease quickly amongst the general populace. While most of the center has been blockaded, there are also reports of those dying outside the blockade and returning as monsters. For safety reasons, citizens are asked to bury or burn the dead and to avoid high centers of population.
The MFD, aside from fighting fires, has also been called in to help the MPD. Many MFD members have been deputized and given permission to arrest civilans. Some firetrucks have been used as barricades to prevent people from looting stores; those manning the trucks have been seen blasting civilans with water cannons.
Armed Militia have also been spotted, both tring to help and hurt the authorities. One group in particular, the Ex Mortis, has taken to the streets, proclaiming the end. This group has already shot three officers and at least fifteen civilians. The MPD has stated that "Any individual associated with this group should immediately dissociate, or they will face serious consequences." Meanwhile, the self proclaimed Citizen's Blockade has greatly aided the MPD in terms of helping with the evacuation of those unable to fight to shelters furthest from the infection.
