A brief extract from a book on the mind of Malton’s killers.

After the outbreak survivors not only needed protection from the undead but also from each other. Many a survivor lost their minds when they saw friends and family being consumed by zombies. But the question that has arisen is not why these people went psychotic, but why a large proportion of the murders were firemen. You might have thought that these heroes of the pre-outbreak would have been some of the sanest people, helping others to survive. However it was not the case, many of Malton’s finest turned into savage killers, using their axes to slaughter fellow survivors and on occasion break down their safe house doors to allow the zombies to do the dirty work. So the mystery remains, what is going on inside the minds of the ex-firemen? Why have they changed into some of the cities worst murderers? And why do survivors feel the need to harm each other rather than unite to destroy the zombie menace.
