Dissolution

We piled up a ton of bodies. Everybody knows where we stand. The Malton Uprising hereby dissolves.

The Newly Liberated Manifesto

- An Open Letter to the Department of Emergency Management -

We are a diverse and motley band of PKers, pro-survivors, and even the occasional zombie. We have come together, however, to voice certain shared concerns, and to voice certain shared convictions.

We believe that groups should not inflate their numbers and influence by having alts in branches that participate in a common initiation, common tools, common boards, common recruitment, support identical policies, and very closely support each other in game.

We believe that sportsmanlike play, and an even playing field, involves putting a fair amount of elbow grease and manual labor into scouting reports.

We believe that a survivor group that operates in one area, and has worked for some time to uphold order, has earned the right to dictate the general basis of operation for that area. This, of course, provided that they do not violate any basic rights or freedoms of others in the area. When another group comes in, changes their barricade levels, tags over their tags, and kills them for being on a list that views their actions as wrong, they are violating the basic rights and sovereignty of the group they act against.

With these things in mind, we would ask the DEM, as the most influential survivor group in the game, to reconsider their policies on several matters:

  • We ask that you transition to a one-alt policy. Doing so would eliminate current complaints about present and potential alt abuse. Given your current internal structure, we believe it is only fair to consider the DEM a group, not an "alliance."
  • We ask that you disable IMP, the auto-scouting portion of DEMON. We consider a manually updated map of DEMON to be fair and sportsmanlike play, still permitting the groups of Malton a relatively even playing field. We do not consider auto-updates to be such.
  • We ask that you stop relying exclusively on the RG and the UBP. When you are in another group's home area, please respect their local blacklists and local customs.
  • We ask that you stop claiming to be a presence in suburbs where you have fewer than five members.

Until such a time as these issues are resolved, we consider it our right to protest your current policies both ingame and out.

NON-VIOLENT SUPPORTERS

An invitation to all of Malton

These issues are nothing new. They've been legitimate concerns for some time. Let the people of Malton show the DEM that these matters need to be addressed. We invite any individuals and groups in Malton to sign this document, and make vocal their belief in the need for change.

Moreover, we encourage any groups, whether signers of this document or not, to make their voice heard here. Note that no one is to use only and no more than 1 character in the fight.
