The Masonic Weregoat is a mysterious figure in Malton. He is the harbinger of the Masonic Werecreature plague that seems to have ravaged the city beginning some time after the zombie outbreak. The myth surrounding the Weregoat is that he was created by Necrotech insiders in an attempt to fuse the secretive and exclusive ideology of the Freemasons with the raw, unrelenting tin-can-eating fury of a weregoat. By all accounts, the Masonic Weregoat was first discovered in Kersley Mansion during a routine Malton Tours Inc. sightseeing excursion. There it was befriended by MTI's Pope Beligerent I, who brought it out of the basement of the mansion and into the city of Malton. Ever since, the Weregoat has been seen throughout the town, sometimes touring with MTI, sometimes hanging around the Malton City Zoo, and always nibbling on the extremities of unsuspecting survivors who have the misfortune of sharing a safehouse with him. The Masonic Weregoat is blamed for the creation of other Masonic Werecreatures, such as the Masonic Weremule, the Masonic Robogoat, the Masonic WereElvis and the much feared Masonic Wereclown. Survivors are advised to kill any Masonic Werecreature on sight, or at the very least offer it alcohol and run like hell while it's passed out.
