A Yuletide Ode to Malton in the Year 2009

by Pte. Father Charlie Johnson & Queen Mum

'Tis the yule tide season, that of good cheer,
So come one, come all, no need to fear.

For the scary Feral un-dead,
Who leave the survivor afraid in her bed

For the DEM, firefighters, forensics and police
Desperately trying to keep up the peace

For the soldiers and veterans of Fort Creedy,
Who think nothing of going to help out the needy

To the all Zambahs of the Big Bash,
Who on New Year's Eve sway to the "Monster Mash"

For all the weirdos, psychos and loners,
And even the katana carrying trench-coaters

To the couples, secret lovers and just good friends,
That coo and gently whisper 'It's not the end'

To the pistol skilled cats and shotgun wielding dogs,
And Maltons other animals lost in Ridelybank's fogs

To the valiant but doomed mall fighters and defenders
Whom at first light, end up in queues for Nectrotech's life lenders

For the Malton Zoo keepers and Kilt Store owners,
Hoping not to become unwilling BrA!NZ donors

To the Militant Order, of Barhah they sing
While waiting for their dinner bell to ring

Further on south, to The Randoms and crew
Bringing good cheer with pimp hats askew

To the those in The Fortress, both officer and cadet
Toiling in places taken by the dead set

To The Spartans, the TZH, The Legends of the Dark
To Tikhon, Rotter's Relief and all who've left a mark

For the Drunks and Playboys propping up the bars,
In their boozy favorite, The Membery Arms

For the nurses of FANNY in uniforms so tight,
Keeping us safe, warm, and FAKing us all night

To circus freaks and old time entertainers
Who help us to shake a case of the frighteners

To the urban militias, Axes High and the Crimson Clan
By gun or blade, making dead things deader and 'cading like mad men

To the murderous Red Rum and the Philosophe Knights,
Keeping survivor and spelling keen in their sights

And finally to the Divine God, Almighty Kevan,
Whom looks down on us from his Maltonian Heaven

Having run out of both witticism and pun,
God Bless us this Christmas each and every one....
