Basic Info:

  • Police Stations can be barricaded normally.

Parkhouse Walk PD is a de facto hub of survivor defense in Northwest Borehamwood as of November 2008. It was the first PD in the suburb to regain power after the outbreak began, and its close proximity to a warehouse and other police stations ensures a steady stream of defense resources for this redoubt. Survivors are actively encouraged to seek refuge there and in the adjacent police stations.

The station is equipped with both a radio transceiver and a CCTV camera suite. The transceiver is generally set to broadcast on the NW Borehamwood Defense Frequency, 28.06. This frequency is also monitored by other survivor groups in Northwest Borehamwood.

Currently, Parkhouse enjoys a healthy survivor population and is kept very strongly barricaded. A full barricade plan for the locale is in development, but may have to wait for widespread free-running among survivors.

The Parkhouse Irregulars

Communications to and from Parkhouse Walk are currently being arranged by an uneasy alliance of former police officers and former "Nesters" (ne'er-do-wells of North West Borehamwood, in the local lingo). There had previously been some disagreement in the station over what to call this rag-tag organization. The police originally voiced a strong preference for "the Borehamwood Defense League", while the Nesters would have preferred "the Shit-Beater Chaos Patrol". Unfortunately, this spot of confusion led some survivors to begin calling these brave defenders "the Shit-Eater League", which neither side seemed to have anticipated or desired. In the meantime, they managed to barricade much of the south end of NW Borehamwood.

Thankfully, this kerfuffle has been resolved, and survivors working in or around Parkhouse now call themselves the Parkhouse Irregulars. They are responsible for maintaining the crescent of Police Stations (and Barrington Fire House) in the south-east part of the suburb. They are also regular contributors to Galaxy News Radio's annual pledge drive.

Associations

The Parkhouse Irregulars collaborate with Galaxy News Radio (located in the adjacent Barrington Court Fire Station) and the Big Survivors Little Survivor groups, both of which are based in Northwest Borehamwood, as well as the organizing survivors of Dowsett Row Police Station. Members of the Irregulars have sent out feelers to the newly formed Reaver organization at Walmsley Police Station, who they hope will be yet another survivor ally in the region.
