Pitneybank

Pitneybank is a suburb of Malton, located in the east side of the city. Locations of note include Giddings Mall and the eastern edge of Fort Creedy, which is primarily in neighboring Peppardville.
Before the outbreak, it had the 2nd of the highest populations in Malton, after East Grayside. Because of its large population, it also suffered many losses in the outbreak. But unlike East Grayside, many people in the suburb stood together and fought off the zombie hordes instead of fleeing their homes. Because of this, many people found this place as a safe haven from the infected.
The suburb hosted a major standoff between the Second Big Bash and various survivor groups based in Giddings Mall and the Morrish Building in January '08. That battle saw the introduction of the Beachhead Tactic.
Historically, The Many's attack on Giddings Mall which began around September 2005 was a defining event for the suburb.

The Morrish Building is ruined with 100 zombies inside and few casualties this time around. Fittingly, a LUEser got the last kill, a member of the Feral Undead got the ransack, and a member of the RRF got the ruin.--10:37, 19 July 2008 (BST)

The malls been breached with 50 standing outside and another 50 inside the NW corner which is now destroyed. Survivors are dropping like flies as more and more zombies pile in through the breach. --Dotss spleens fury 03:55, 18 July 2008 (BST)
- UPDATE-The northern quadrants of Giddings Mall have been ruined and are occupied by a number of zombies. The southwest quadrant is locked in battle while the southeast is quiet but for the constant bashing of generators. The Morrish building has regained some of its former luster, yet survivors can hardly take a breather knowing that over 150 of the undead are just one block away. - UPDATE2-Now we see the battle begin favoring a zombie victory. After fierce resistance in the SE quadrant, Giddings Mall has finally succumbed to the horde. Morrish is all that remains standing between the undead and its conquest of Pitneybank. Despite a last ditch regroup effort in the Necrotech facility, by this point, it is only a matter of time. Zombies have breached the barricades and survivors are being dispatched quickly, while others choose to flee. --Guilty 03:41, 19 July 2008 (BST)

A back and forth battle has seen the Morrish Building trade hands once more. Currently, survivors have a tenuous grip on the fabled Necrotech facility. How long they can hold it remains to be seen. PKers, GKers, and many of the Ridleybank Resistance Front have begun stepping up their assault, leaving Morrish and all of Giddings Mall unpowered. Other buildings have had their radios scrambled. The NW corner of the mall was breached multiple times today, though all invaders were repelled. Tempers are growing thin as the survivors are being stretched to their limit. This battle of attrition may have only one foregone conclusion.

Survivors dug deep and managed to recover the Morrish Building from the undead. The aftermath of the battle can be seen directly outside the building where 200+ bodies lie unmoving. For now. Zombie reinforcements have been reportedly spotted in the south, shambling their way to Giddings and the fight for Pitneybank promises to heat up in the days to come.

Battle rages in the Morrish Building, and hope is fast fading for the dwindling survivors. Zombie sympathizers, PKers, and GKers continue to run rampant within and around Giddings Mall, though the mall itself remains a formidable bastion. Zombies have assaulted & conquered Fort Creedy. They are swarming around the place. But what i've heard about that they still don't and can't assault the Giddings Mall. DefZLegz

The official radio frequency for Pitneybank and the surrounding suburbs in the NE-5 district is 26.10 MHz. The other main radio frequency in use is 26.70 MHz, the dedicated frequency for Giddings Mall and Fort Creedy. These stations broadcast helpful survivor information and building statuses.
Survivors are encouraged to maintain power and radio transmitters in all resource buildings including Giddings Mall. The phone transmitter building for the suburb is Howland Street School and is usually kept powered and fuelled and at EHB.
