Description

One of several libraries scattered around Malton. An old, two-story building with barred and/or smashed windows. It has fallen into disrepair, and has been attacked by zombies recently. The doors are covered in congealed blood, and the lock broken.

History

Built in 1956 by a private organization, its aim was to provide a free learning center to the surrounding area. It went bankrupt in September of 1992. The building and contents were auctioned and all bought by a private collector. He replaced the books and renovated the building. He then surrounded it with an iron fence. Paranoid, the collector stashed shotguns and rifles with ammunition everywhere. A month before the quarantine began, he simply packed up and left. Since that time, all weapons and ammunition have been looted, but most of the shelves still hold their written contents. There are rumors that the paranoid owner foresaw the outbreak and quarantine, and had a basement fortress constructed, with an armory, power generator, water distiller, and several metric tonnes of non-perishable food. Even if this were true, the collector most likely sealed it, or destroyed its contents. Past survivors, long dead or reanimated, have eliminated any trace of the storehouse's existence (or non-existence), and the rumours will stay at that - rumours.
