History
Power Towers was the home of Malton's first Gas storage facility. Opened in 1903, the building was designed by Ms. Ellen Gower, one of the countries earliest female Architects.
Ellen Gower
Ellen's life was a constant struggle. Raised by her Bavarian Uncle Stuart life in the Gower house was never easy. Ellen had to finance her way through architectural college with the money she scraped together from her job creating outfits for the monkeys of Malton's elite. Even once qualified she had to purchase her own plots of land to construct her designs on, as many people where unwilling to employ a female architect.
Ellen's greatest early achievement was Power Towers. No one cared who built the gas storage tanks and when they were completed ahead of time and under budget Ellen's reputation was secured.

The Tower itself stood for only 9 years, before it was consumed in a large conflagration of flame sometime between 1911 and 1913. The Ellen Gower Power Tower exploded in seconds, a flower of gas showered the area and scoured all life as buildings were devoured.
Success!
Even after the explosion Ellen Gower worked for many years, constructing many of Malton's Greatest buildings, Including The Silcock Building and Gaye Towers. At the time of her death in 1973, she had amassed a fortune of several million Pounds. Her vast fortune was shared between her Daughter Helen Gower and Malton City Zoo. Both parties had to sign a legally binding document that all monkeys in their possession should be nude at all times.
Helen Gower
Helen Gower was unlike her mother in almost every way. She hated money and power and used the abandoned Power Towers Site to set up a hippy commune. It was briefly renamed the Helen Gower Flower Power Tower and free love reigned supreme.
As the years progressed Helen became more and more involved in green politics and in 1999 invested a large amount of her fortune in creating a new Power Tower on the site. Completely self powered thanks to solar panels and wind turbines. The new Power Tower was a wonderous site to behold.
Unfortunately Zombies arrived
Like most of Malton Power Towers was pretty much completely buggered by zombies. Initially the building was very easy to defend (With its massive spinning blades and constant power supply) but a lack of maintenance, and zombies getting in the works crippled the building and it eventually fell dark 5 months into the quarantine.
Helen was last seen fleeing the City by helicopter. Reports suggest she retired to her country house just outside Borehamwood.

Current Status
- The building has been extremely heavily barricaded. A portable generator has been set up. It is running. Somebody has spraypainted, "You are my wife now," onto a wall. EcoBuckeye 13:08, 28 May 2012 (BST)
