Zombies almost always check inside. Some are often used as literal fortresses, and are sometimes so heavily barricaded that it is impossible to enter without Free Running. Tagging a police station earns 2 XP. They are listed as a Tactical Resource Point. Police Stations can be barricaded normally.

11/25/07 I retook the PD just now. It is secure at VSB++ I amm going to cade it to EHB as any of the destroyed buildings can be used to enter. Survivors welcome to help secure the building. --Mr NoName001 05:33, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
