There are four churches bearing the name St Emelia's Church in the city of Malton. St. Emelia's Church began in Crowbank as an Eastern Orthodox Church by Greek emigrants to the city, and as the Greek minority grew in Malton, so too did their meeting places. Before the outbreak there were three branches of St. Emelia's Church. A great convocation was proposed for sometime in September, but did not happen, as the world went to hell.

St. Emelia is the mother of St. Basil the Great, defender against the Arian Heresy.
